00:20At the age of 67, Lola Lolita Escal was excited to enter the college.

00:25I was excited about the subjects, the classes, and the course.

00:34Not long ago, Lola Lolita's picture went viral

00:37while taking the entrance exam at the University of Rizal System, Angono Campus.

00:41She said she had a pimple, so her face was almost stuck to the examination paper.

00:47And when the results of the entrance exam came out...

00:49And now, she's in the top 5 of our AB Journalism.

00:56Congratulations to our graduating students.

01:01She's an inspiration to many.

01:03Lola Lolita's inspiration is her only child, who just turned 3 years old.

01:09The reason is to continue finishing high school, where her grandchildren went to school.

01:14Sometimes, if I don't know, I ask them to teach me.

01:16Sometimes, they ask me how.

01:19Especially when it comes to research, our grade 11.

01:25Lola Lolita's return to school was full of excitement.

01:28She finished her elementary school.

01:30It's been 5 decades.

01:32She stopped studying after her employer's bankruptcy in their province, Agusan del Norte.

01:38I was scared.

01:40I thought I wouldn't recover there.

01:44So, from then on, you just worked?

01:46I just worked.

01:47They had a relationship. They had a child.

01:49But she also left her husband.

01:51Lola Lolita's only child, her daughter-in-law, is here in Metro Manila.

01:55When she decided to go back to school, her eyebrows were still growing.

01:59When you're old, how are you going to use that?

02:03You won't have anything.

02:05You'll just be like that.

02:07What do you mean?

02:09People are still alive. There's still a future.

02:12If there's no future, they're dead.

02:15So, as long as they're alive?

02:17As long as they're alive, they'll continue.

02:20Even though she had an accident during the pandemic,

02:22she didn't give up.

02:24She's still selling salt in Angono Market

02:26so that she can earn more.
