00:00Now the country is facing inflation pressure, which is felt more by the poor than the rich.
00:16We see now there are a lot of extraordinary crimes.
00:22There are a lot of crimes happening because the people are worried about losing their livelihood.
00:31You can't imagine the pressure on the parents.
00:35Sometimes they may not be able to feed their children.
00:41That is very frustrating.
00:44There is no attempt made to provide relief for the people.
00:57Instead, the government has increased the price of diesel.
01:01And the increase is a very big increase.
01:04It is not for the B40, but the fact is that when you increase the petrol price,
01:11petrol price is used by industry, by transport and all that.
01:16And when you increase that much, if you increase 10 cents, it is 1.20 ringgit.
01:27So that affects the cost of transport, the cost of generating power, the cost of industry and all that will be affected.
01:38And when those people are affected, they have to raise their charges.
01:45And the poor people are the people who use all this kind of transport.
01:50The promise is made, when he becomes Prime Minister, he would lower the price of petrol.
02:00Today he becomes Prime Minister, lower petrol price.
02:05But what we see is the increase in petrol price.
02:09At the cost to the people.
02:12The government has made matters worse by withdrawing subsidies.
02:19If you want to withdraw, you can do it bit by bit, small amount.
02:25But 1.20, the original price was 2.50.
02:32Almost 50% increase.
02:35So, I am not complaining because I am not the Prime Minister, but I am the people.
