00:00All right, let's move over now to the French Open.
00:04It just wrapped up and it looks like NBC not going to be broadcasting that anymore, Simon.
00:09What happened here?
00:10Well, TNT came in through Warner Brothers Discovery with a 10-year, $650 million deal.
00:17That's $6 million a year.
00:19They're going to get all the games.
00:21The games are going to be running on a mix of TBS, TNT, TruTV, and for the first time,
00:26Max.
00:27It's amazing that just a few decades ago, it was broadcast television that ruled the
00:31roost with the Tennis Grand Slam event.
00:33You had the Australian Open on public television, NBC with the French Open, also with Wimbledon.
00:38Remember Breakfast at Wimbledon for many years on Saturday and Sunday, and CBS with the US
00:41Open.
00:42Now it's a mostly cable and mega-content deal.
00:44By the way, what we don't know is whether Tennis Channel, which ran a lot of the weekday
00:48coverage of the French Open the last couple years, whether they'll have anything to do
00:51with coverage starting next year.
