00:00Okay then Lee, can you just tell me what Lesley's defibrillator work was all about in place?
00:04So Lesley, she was dying of cancer and what she'd done is took her time off to go round
00:10and try and get defibrillators fitted in all the pubs in Washington town where we are.
00:15She wanted every village to have a defibrillator because she knew the benefits of what it did
00:18to save people's lives.
00:19And how many pubs are you going to be going around and how far is it?
00:23We've got 10 pubs to go round, starting at the Victoria Inn.
00:27It takes around about 8 hours in all total to do it, we spend about 30-40 minutes at
00:32each pub.
00:33It's all about raising awareness?
00:38It is about raising awareness, the importance of having a defibrillator and how many people
00:43it has actually helped in the past 3 years that we've had them.
00:46Hopefully doing the work makes everybody aware of where their local defibrillator is.
00:50How many times is yours being deployed?
00:52Ours is being deployed around about 17 times and we know that it's been used twice to
00:57actually try and help somebody.
00:59How important is it that people know where their local defibrillator is?
01:01Very important.
01:02If you don't know where one is, you've got more chance of actually helping somebody survive
01:07until they've got to the hospital with a defibrillator being used.
