00:00At the behest of the leaders of the Senate and the House of Representatives,

00:04together with the discussion of the amendment to the Rice Clarification Law and the Universal Health Care Act,

00:10this is what I witnessed.

00:15This is the first behest of the leaders of the House of Representatives and the new leaders of the Senate

00:20that was held in a place in Malacanang.

00:23The priority bills were discussed, which should be acted on by two parties.

00:27It gives us the opportunity to align our priorities,

00:31being able to talk closely on what of the legislative measures we should prioritize and pass right away.

00:39So, this is an opportunity for us, for both Houses, to deepen our working relationship with one another.

00:48So, it's a good thing.

00:50Aside from Dalipe, House Speaker Martin Romualdez,

00:54the new Senate President Cheese Escudero,

00:57and his counterpart, Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino.

01:01According to Tolentino, they agreed on the process of passing the legislative amendments.

01:08As for Speaker Romualdez,

01:10Escudero and Tolentino agreed on their agreement and cooperation

01:15in passing the amendments proposed by Administrator Marcos.

01:20The House of Representatives first discussed in the House of Representatives

01:23the amendment to the Rice Tarification Law,

01:26which the congressmen said will lower the price of rice and will continue to help farmers.

01:33According to the Speaker, the Senate approved it yesterday.

01:37All 20 priorities of the Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council or LEDAC

01:43were approved by the House of Representatives.

01:45In the Senate, 10 were approved,

01:48including the National Citizen Service Training Program,

01:51Military and Uniformed Personnel Pension Reform,

01:54the creation of the Department of Water Resources and Services,

01:58and the amendment to the Universal Health Care Act.

02:01Escudero said that they did not discuss the Charter Change proposed by the House of Representatives.

02:07What I told them, as far as the congressmen are concerned,

02:10it's rare for us to be here.

02:12Why are we passing whatever we want?

02:17President Bongbong Marcos said that he is in favor of the Economic Charter Change.
