00:00 We broke this story a week or so ago that J.Lo and Ben,
00:04 it's very clear they're headed for divorce.
00:06 They're selling the marital house.
00:08 He's already moved out.
00:09 She's looking for her own house right now.
00:12 And they got together yesterday.
00:14 And I think, Charles, it is further proof
00:17 there is a real divide between the two of them.
00:19 - And really, the only reason they are coming together
00:21 at this point is because of their kids
00:24 who have grown together and are very close.
00:27 And yesterday was Samuel, Ben's son,
00:31 with Jennifer Garner, was Samuel's graduation.
00:34 And Jennifer showed up with her kids.
00:37 They're all there.
00:39 The kids still feel like this is their family
00:42 and they wanted to be there, so Jennifer brought them.
00:44 But-- - It was a family.
00:46 - And even though it was a family, a family divided,
00:49 because from everything we've heard,
00:50 there was no connection.
00:52 They weren't sitting next to each other.
00:54 - No, no, I mean for the last two years,
00:55 it was a family. - Oh, yes, yes,
00:56 it was a family.
00:57 - But yesterday--
00:58 - Well, we don't know what happened inside, right, Charles?
00:59 We know that Jennifer showed up with Max and Emmy,
01:02 which are her two kids,
01:03 and they walked into the graduation ceremony.
01:04 And then Ben showed up with his mom separately.
01:06 He walked into the graduation ceremony.
01:07 As you mentioned, Jennifer Garner was there
01:09 with her and Ben's kids as well inside.
01:11 It was Samuel's graduation.
01:13 And I think it's important to note too
01:14 is that Max and Emmy do go to this school as well.
01:16 When they blended families, they went to the same school.
01:18 So all of these kids have a lot of friends
01:20 who are probably graduating as well.
01:21 So we don't know if they interacted inside,
01:23 but they definitely did not interact outside.
01:25 And then after the graduation,
01:27 then they go back to Ben's house
01:28 and they are having a party at Ben's Brentwood home
01:31 where he's staying right now.
01:32 And Jennifer shows up and she ends up staying there
01:34 until about 10 p.m. where we see her exiting alone.
01:37 So she didn't stay overnight.
01:38 - That's not gonna happen at this point.
01:39 - It's not gonna happen at this point.
01:41 I got a sense from a couple of phone calls
01:43 I made yesterday that this is not
01:46 particularly amicable at this point.
01:49 - Right.
01:50 - It's not divorce war,
01:53 but I just got a different sense
01:56 with these phone calls yesterday,
01:58 but it's very clear they are headed for divorce.
02:01 I don't know who they've contacted, if anybody.
02:04 It would seem that they've contacted somebody
02:06 given they've moved out.
02:07 But I think it's only a matter of time.
02:10 Speaking of the family house,
02:13 they are gonna take a bath when they sell this thing.
02:15 - Yeah, because you know that they paid 60 million for it.
02:19 They have, from what we've heard,
02:20 they're not listing it publicly, but they are.
02:23 There's a guy from the agency, his name is Santiago,
02:25 who is basically, he's carrying the listing,
02:28 he has the listing.
02:29 They've been showing it for about three weeks now.
02:32 - And they're asking 65 million.
02:34 - Around 65 million.
02:36 - Which you, on the surface, you go,
02:38 oh, well, they're gonna make five million.
02:39 Nope, no.
02:41 They are gonna end up taking a bath
02:43 between the fees that they gotta pay to the realtors.
02:48 - The fees should be minimum two and a half million dollars.
02:50 Plus, how much does the mansion tax come to?
02:53 - In California, there is a mansion tax,
02:55 and it comes to about three and a half million dollars
02:58 for a property like this.
03:00 So that's more than five million dollars,
03:02 and they did a lot of improvements on the house.
03:05 So when you add all that up, if they get 65,
03:09 and this house, they tried to sell this house,
03:11 the prior owner, for a long time,
03:13 and ended up leasing it to a bunch of billionaires,
03:16 but couldn't sell it.
03:17 It's a very specific, it's a beautiful property,
03:20 it's a very specific property.
03:22 And so, if they get to 65, they could be in the hold
03:26 for five or six million dollars.
03:28 - Yeah.
03:29 - Which you would think they would say pocket change, right?
03:32 - Yeah. - Nope.
03:33 - Not really, because, look, we have been put together,
03:36 actually, we've been working on,
03:38 and it's gonna be available this weekend.
03:41 It's gonna be on Fox, Sunday night,
03:43 a special that we put together called
03:46 J-Lo and Ben Missed Warning Signs.
03:48 Premieres Sunday night on Fox, and then--
03:50 - Hulu the next morning. - Hulu on Monday.
03:53 But we spoke to a lot of people in their world
03:56 about what those warning signs were.
03:59 - So let me-- - One of them.
04:00 - Let me explain John.
04:01 - Yes, because--
04:03 - John Peters is one of the most interesting people
04:07 I've met in Hollywood.
04:08 He was a hairdresser a long time ago,
04:11 and he is the character from which they developed
04:15 the character Shampoo, with Warren Beatty, the movie.
04:18 And John ended up hooking up with Barbra Streisand,
04:21 who he was with for 10 years,
04:22 been with all sorts of people,
04:24 and been incredibly successful as a producer.
04:26 - As a producer, yeah.
04:28 - Flashdance, Money Train, Prince of Tides.
04:31 - He put Jennifer Lopez in Money Train,
04:34 one of her first movies, so he knows the couple.
04:38 And you spoke to him about their lifestyle
04:42 and what the cost of that lifestyle is.
04:45 - When you spend 10 million a year to live,
04:49 eight million a year to live, goes quick.
04:53 Now where's the income coming in?
04:54 Where's it coming?
04:56 - And buying a $60 million house.
04:57 - That's just the beginning.
04:58 - Yeah.
05:00 - The private jets and everything else,
05:00 that's just the beginning.
05:01 - Yeah.
05:03 - Why can't she own a $30 million house
05:05 in Malibu or at the beach or in Bel Air?
05:08 30 million, 40 million, that's fine,
05:10 but not 60, $70 million with 10,000 square foot guest house
05:15 and 400 bedrooms, there's a waste of it.
05:17 Why do you think he left?
05:19 You know what, his sober self went, oh my God,
05:22 his loaded self went, whoa, look at me, bitch.
05:26 Look at that house, look at that woman.
05:28 That's the loaded side.
05:30 The real side's like, uh-oh, who put me here, man?
05:34 - Okay, could you not watch John Peters all day long?
05:37 - Nobody else would put it that way.
05:39 Nobody else would put it that way.
05:40 - So the doc, by the way, the documentary
05:42 is going to air on Sunday night right after the game
05:45 on Fox, the network, and Monday on Hulu.
05:50 J.Lo and Ben missed warning signs.
05:53 - Yes, hi, look, if it's me, I'm gonna tell you
05:58 that if my husband was renting some place
06:02 that he left my marital home,
06:04 and I'm wanting this relationship to work,
06:06 I'm absolutely going to be staying the night.
06:08 I think it says a lot that she left.
06:10 J.Lo knows how to smile for the cameras
06:12 even when she's not happy, so I have a feeling
06:15 that this meeting, this party after graduation
06:18 probably wasn't as amicable as we thought it was.
06:21 Plus, I didn't realize their kids
06:23 all went to the same school, so there was reason
06:25 for her to be at the graduation,
06:27 aside from being there for Ben and his children.
06:30 I think they're donezo.
06:31 - Well, they are donezo, but also,
06:34 there is a connection that each has to the other's kids.
06:36 I mean, they've been together,
06:38 and as we get into this in the doc,
06:40 it's so rough on kids that have to deal with it
06:43 multiple times.
