00:00Roots Picnic, people were kind of like, listen, this is like the new grown and sexy, because
00:07you know, Method Man was at Summer Jam, and you know, even though I got him and he said,
00:10hey, you know, I didn't mean it like that, but now people are kind of heralding you guys
00:13as like having the sophisticated kind of crowd.
00:18Is that going to be the trend where like you might be more selective in picking talent?
00:22I think, you know, it's always been like, you know, a really scrutinous sort of process
00:28for us.
00:30I think this year was the 17th annual, sorry, I think this year was the 17th annual picnic,
00:36you know, and we built it out organically, so it's something that, you know, just evolved
00:41in a really authentic way.
00:43But, you know, from day one, the idea has always been, you know, to sort of serve as
00:48all things to all people, a little something for, you know, everyone.
00:52So I mean, I mean, well, it's saying that you guys also had sexy regs.
00:57There was a little pushback, but in saying that, you're saying you got to have a little
01:01bit of both?
01:02Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:03I mean, you know, sexy reg wasn't for everyone, neither was Babyface, but you know what I
01:07mean?
01:08Yeah, there's a demo that was definitely, you know, entertaining.
01:11Like for some people, Babyface was the highlight, you know what I mean?
01:14For my kids who are 17 to 18, they said the sexy reg performance was life changing, you
01:19know?
01:20So yeah, it's beautiful for both of those things to be valid and for that to be, you
01:25know, the picnic to be the space for them to coexist.
01:28I love that.
01:29Thank you so much.
01:30Oh, no, thank you.
