09:49lot of energy you've only got so many bursts per round when you're a puncher like
09:53Riyad Kordoon so he's got to be conservative with it and it's always a big factor
10:00can someone punch going forward and backwards you know sometimes if you
10:04push a heavy hitter backwards they haven't got as much in their punch
10:08Riyad Kordoon just being told by Steve Gray to keep the punches up that right hand I think
10:12landed around about the hip of Willem Smith he moves in behind the jab gets on
10:18to the shoulder it's a good point you made about him fighting Lawrence Okole
10:23Okole is reckoned to be this unique kind of opponent but the strength and the
10:29physicality that he had to cope with there were similarities here because
10:34rank 4 is huge isn't he basically yeah but they're both fighters that like to
10:39fight at range as well so Willem's had that experience of someone who wants to
10:43keep it long and he wants to be the guy rough inside and you can see him using
10:47the elements of the game to his advantage right now yeah just get a bit
10:51of room there for the short left hooks on the inside Willem Smith that's experience
10:54as well
11:00that's clever from Willem Smith stepped in right hand to the body moved in
11:06behind it turned his man
11:16Richard's been very persistent with the right hand to the body and that is
11:21something that they've worked on but I haven't seen it hasn't paid off just yet
11:24but boxing is about continuing down the line
11:35closing stages of round three again just a little bit tightness and throws up

11:45it's pretty close isn't it Tasha we expected this sort of cagey style how are
11:50you seeing in the early stages yeah I think I've probably got Chris Willem
11:53Smith three rounds off but the second one was really hard to score you could
11:56have put that edge away I think he just did enough in the first and definitely
11:59did enough in that one to take them out. What about you Johnny how are you seeing this over?
12:03Richard doesn't want to be chasing this fight because the cleaner shots are from him
12:07but the busier work is from Chris and so Chris keeps doing what he's doing
12:11roughing him up making him hold I don't think Richard will be able to get the
12:15momentum going on he needs to start stabbing that jab using those power shots
12:19and let the shots go if he doesn't he's going to chase the fight. Is this going to unfold or are we going to see more explosive action today?
12:26it needs to be more explosive that's it let the shots go be cleaner use that
12:32right hand that stiff jab that initially worked for the first 30 seconds
12:35use it well
12:40so into the fourth Willem Smith in the black round court in the red white and
12:45blue and I wouldn't argue with anything that was said there I think Tasha's
12:49right I think Willem Smith has won these first three rounds he's been the
12:54busier of the two he's managed to get on to the inside for the majority of it
13:00when that jab works for Riyadhpour then it is a weapon for him
13:09I think Riyadhpour probably won the first round he landed quite some really good clean stiff jabs
13:13but I think certainly rounds two and three Willem Smith has had the better
13:17yeah I agree. When Richard does fire the jab out it lands but the
13:24busyness like Johnny was saying is coming from CBS so it's easy to
13:29overshadow the clean landing jabs
13:37and when they're in clinches like that Willem Smith is the one that's finding a bit of room
13:42just landing those short little left hooks
13:47Willem Smith though using his own jab, Riyadhpour not far away with that right
14:03Willem's done a good job sort of boxing some of the fat going forward some of the fat on the back foot
14:08it's good to see this versatility from him
14:12some blood coming from the nose I think there of Willem Smith
14:31that jab has definitely busted Chris's nose
14:35good body shot there from Willem Smith as well left hook to the head and then right hook to the body was a good shot
14:40and again Riyadhpour in between those two attacks from Willem Smith landed his own right into the body
14:52this is going to turn into a gruelling gruelling fight you can just tell because these two circling around each other

15:10you can see that when it lands whether it's blocked or whether it's not that it's heavy

15:23but he does seem to be getting slightly closer with it and just a little bit looser with it

15:33bit out he hasn't really been able to let it flow but now he just seems to be just warming into it slightly
15:39yeah he's warming into it and he has to I mean Richard's gonna have to fight a piece he doesn't normally fight to get the win here

16:18throws every punch with those fighters
16:22but we saw the blood coming from the nose of Willem Smith I think it must have been one of those jabs that crunched into it
16:38Richard is gonna have to switch up the attacks to keep Willem honest
16:53there's that jab again from Riyad Port looks like coughing right hand down low
17:12good job from Willem Smith goes on to the shoulder moved in straight behind it didn't really have room to do anything else off the back of it but it still scored
17:22strong jab again there from the defending champion
17:35back to the body from Riyad Port was a sweet shot right hand on the inside they're chipping away at each other here
17:44there's there's another level in this in this fight there's there's another level of intensity to come in this fight for sure
17:53I think Richard's gonna have to double the jabs as the singles Willem's finding a way to slip in let some body shots go underneath and continue forcing the pace
18:05which for the uppercut there Willem Smith didn't quite land it did with the one to the body
18:13again Willem Smith is doing a good job there of sliding underneath that right hand from Riyad Port heading towards the final minute of round five
18:31Referee just telling Riyad Port to keep that head up part of his arsenal is to just lean in get on top of you get the head quite low rub it up against the side of his opponents and just bring that weight onto the top of their shoulders
18:55left hand there from Willem Smith really set his feet and dug his toes in for that one
19:05so far it's been a consistent performance from Chris you know no he's not massively winning the rounds but he I feel like he is winning the rounds
19:14yeah he's out working Riyad Port, Riyad Port good at patches but he's not consistent enough the jabs are good when they land but he doesn't throw enough of them
19:21it's consistent work, he has come in with the head a few times the ref has warned a few times so he's got hold in against him and his head so these things build up too

20:45Into this fight heading into round six in terms of going deep Chris Billingsmith has been 12 rounds four times Richard Redpaw has done it the once that was a good while ago against Jack Massey
20:58It's interesting to hear Angel Fernandez in the corner say to Richard when you land your jab maintain the distance don't go in to smother I feel that was good advice
21:17What he can tend to do is just strangle that right hand when he moves in behind it
21:23Nice and busy there again for Billingsmith uppercut up the centre just working away even when there's not really too much room even when he probably feels like the referee will get in and break them
21:38Yeah he's not relying on single shots Billingsmith has put combinations together when he lands the shot he throws two, three, four, five after it
21:52But Redpaw has landed some good shots but they're singles
21:55We know that this pace is definitely more suited for Chris you know Chris sitting this pace and handling this pace it's not going to weigh as heavy on him as it is on Richard
22:05And again as they get tight there it's Redpaw who leans in and just gets hold of the arms of Billingsmith
22:24Look at the overhand right there Redpaw didn't quite land it but he needs something like that fairly soon to give him a little bit of encouragement
22:43Doubling up on the hook there Billingsmith right hand up close for Redpaw but Billingsmith just comes straight back
22:55But the one thing we know about punch power is a fight can be going this way and it only takes one
23:04It absolutely does and you spoke about it earlier when you have it you have to trust it you have to be patient you have to believe that you will find a home for it at some point it takes a lot of nerve
23:17You can be dropping rounds you can be behind but you know that you have the ability to just tilt everything on its head Billingsmith with some neat work on the inside there
23:33Not sure what happened there but Billingsmith done what a fighter should do and hit him a couple more times

24:22You agree with that or you disagree, how do you think that Chris is getting off in camp so I have to disagree on that one but Richard's doing well as well but Chris' head movement is kind of triggering Richard and Chris is doing well he's doing the tactics really good and I think it's going to be a really good fight
24:37Yeah but Chris is doing really well and if he keeps it like that he wins the fight easy
24:41You can play it out between him
24:47So into the second half of the fight, from where we're sitting William Smith is ahead here but there's an awfully long way to go
24:54And that's how you're seeing it at home, five rounds to one and again I wouldn't really disagree with that, Riyadhpour has had successes, it's not like this hasn't been a competitive fight, it's been very competitive but William Smith has just had the better of it quite simply
25:24He's the one who's finished exchanges the better of the two, he's been the busier of the two
25:33Yeah the scorecards you know make the fight look extremely one-sided but when you're watching the fight you can see at any time it can change
25:42Uppercut there from William Smith, just took his feet in and found exactly the right range for that
25:49I agree with that scorecard but what's probably equally as important is this fight is going the way William Smith wants it to go, it's being fought at the pace, at the distance, everything that William Smith would want the fight to be going, it's going his way
26:02And again on the inside there it's Riyadhpour who's looking to try and tie him up, William Smith just making that point to referee Steve Gray and that's not doing Riyadhpour any favours because when it happens William Smith is able to get some punches away anyway and it's also quite obvious who is infringing and it wouldn't be surprising at all if a point went from Riyadhpour in the second half of this fight

27:27And then just turning, tucking up behind the shoulder and riding the right hand from Riyadhpour, he tries to step in here but at that kind of range as he's savoured out, he's shutting his own space down and when he does William Smith works better at that territory
27:41This is it, you know Richard needs to get full extension on the shot to deliver the power and at this time William is smothering it and sometimes Richard does it to himself
27:53Yeah William Smith doing a good thing here, you know Riyadhpour had a bit of a burst there in the corner, he needs to rest now, breathe and get it back and William Smith putting straight back on him making it go again

29:58Riyadhpour really is holding on now and I think he was hurt there by William Smith, it was hard to get a really good look at his face or in his eyes from where he was sitting but William Smith I think fancies it a little bit now that he can make a proper dent in his opponent

33:07Although he is the challenger, he is in territory now where he needs knockdowns
33:13He needs to land, he needs to detonate the dynamite in those gloves

33:40And then the follow up was a little bit low
33:43He might have killed his own momentum
