00:00Fight.
00:05Legal punches here for you.
00:07Legal punches here for you.
00:08Touch gloves left to both of you.
00:12Charlie Sheehy making the move up to 140 pounds for this fight.
00:16He says, losing the last five pounds was killing me the last three, four fights.
00:21He takes on a durable and awkward fighter, Enricardo Quiroz, whose losses have come against,
00:28I mean, two Olympians and two title challengers.
00:32Gio Cabrera last time out, Tiger Johnson was 9-0, Rojan Polanco, the Olympian from the
00:37Dominican Republic, who was 8-0, Jermaine Ortiz, who was 9-0 at the time, broke his
00:42left hand in that fight, still continued to take him to the distance.
00:45Quiroz has a ton of experience against top competition.
00:50This is going to be a really good test for Charlie Sheehy tonight.
00:58That was a division you knew very well, Tim.
01:01How big is that jump for a fighter, especially now that he's 25 years old, growing into his
01:07man body?
01:09It's not a big challenge for Sheehy because he fought amateurs at 141 pounds, so he's
01:15familiar with the guys and the size.
01:18You look at 5'10", you look at his frame, how big Quiroz is, and how strong he is, he's
01:23used to that.
01:26One thing that I look at when guys are moving up in weight, look at the legs of Sheehy.
01:31He got some bricks down there, man.
01:34He has the legs to move up in weight.
01:36One thing that I would say is, Manny Pacquiao was able to do that because he had the legs.
01:43I was about to say, these aren't quite Manny Pacquiao calves, but these are some strong
01:47looking legs as well for Charlie Sheehy, who looks filled in now at 140 pounds.
01:53Let's see if he can carry that power within 5 knockouts in 9 victories.
01:59Quiroz is a sneaky fighter.
02:02Likes to fight off his back foot, likes to counter, but he will get aggressive in spots.
02:07He will surprise his opponents, as you see like that, coming off his jab and combinations.
02:14Sheehy is getting a little bit more aggressive now that he's a pro.
02:18He's starting to sit down more on his shots, but he fights off the jab as well.
02:22It's going to be a jab battle tonight.
02:24Whoever is able to control the fight with that jab is going to ultimately probably win
02:28this fight tonight.
02:29Sheehy was talking about working on his inside game, looking for the uppercut against Quiroz,
02:34a man they call the rabbit.
02:37Nice counters.
02:38That's the one thing about Sheehy, great counter puncher.
02:42Coming forward, moving forward and off the back foot.
02:46We talked about the fact that Sheehy said, I was killing myself to make the weight the
02:50last 4 fights.
02:51He had only one knockout in those last 4 fights.
02:54The first 5 pro fights, he finished 4 before the final bell.
02:58It does correlate to what he's saying about how he felt in the ring.
03:02It's how you feel.
03:05You got to understand that when you're dehydrated, your reflexes, tendons and reflexes, muscle
03:10strength, your ability to be able to take a shot, your output, your conditioning, all
03:15that stuff is a factor.
03:16Big shot right there.
03:17Quiroz hurt.
03:19He hurt Sheehy with that left hook on the inside.
03:21It was a counter left that he landed perfectly as Sheehy overcommitted.
03:26Quiroz has excellent timing, excellent, excellent timing, wow.
03:31And he's finished more than 50% of his victories by knockout.
03:34Let's listen in to Javier Centeno in the corner.
03:36He's going to jab, and leaving that head right in the center.
03:40Remember, you throw that jab, I want that head off center a little bit.
03:43Off center, so you can go ahead and go.
03:45Look at his shot on the inside.
03:47Overly aggressive right here, getting along the ropes.
03:50Just opening himself up.
03:52You know, you got to take your time.
03:53You got to be careful.
03:54It's the first round.
03:55There's no need to rush your offense, because you'll run into problems like that.
03:58A little buzz right there with that short little left hook on the inside.
04:02He never saw it coming.
04:04You know, that's what Quiroz does.
04:07He punches in between shots.
04:08He has excellent timing.
04:10That's one thing that I saw when watching him on film.
04:12He will sneak shots in between your shots.
04:14You get a little bit wide, he knows how to fill those holes.
04:17Alright, we're going to leave you with a modified version of our ESPN Plus ringside coverage.
04:22We're going to listen in to Javier Centeno in Charlie Sheen's corner.
04:26And then, in between rounds, we'll get Tim Bradley's analysis as to any pertinent information
04:33that he sees you need to know about this fight.
04:37ESPN Plus ringside modified version.
04:44Good.
04:48Nice.
04:50Keep that right hand high.
04:51Good.
04:57Take it up and down now.
04:58Up and down now.
05:00Good.
05:06Two up two when he dips.
05:14Stop.
05:17That's why I need it over the top.
05:22Stab down.
05:23Stab down.
05:27Up and down.
05:28Up and down.
05:29Nice.
05:30Good try.
05:36Watch behind the head, guys.
05:40Nice.
05:41Good.
05:42Back with the right hand next time.
05:49It's too slow.
05:50You got to pick it up.
05:52Come out of that roll with the hook.
05:54Okay.
05:55Nice.
05:56Good.
05:57Follow through now.
06:00Sharp jab.
06:03Don't lead with that hook.
06:04Don't force it.
06:08That's it.
06:09Hook off the jab this time.
06:12Nice.
06:18Nice.
06:19Good.
06:25Watch your feet.
06:26Step to him now.
06:28That's it.
06:31Set up that corner trap.
06:32Bring him here.
06:38Don't reach with that jab.
06:39Step with it.
06:40That's it.
06:42Step with that jab, Charlie.
06:44Nice and strong.
06:45Strong.
06:51Nice.
06:52Good right hand.
06:53Nice.
06:55Try to get that seven downstairs.
07:03Follow through.
07:04Let's go.
07:10That's it.
07:11Stop.
07:12Use that left hand.
07:13Here we go.
07:14Box.
07:21Get that head moving.
07:2210 seconds.
07:23Side to side.
07:24Good.
07:2510 segundos.
07:26Para la campana.
07:32Time.
07:35All right.
07:36Not a lot of variation with the offense of Shihi.
07:39You know, just simple.
07:40Just throwing the jab.
07:41Trying to get his head off the lot.
07:43And then occasionally he'll do this.
07:45He'll put himself in harm's way.
07:46A leaping left hook.
07:47Throwing the hook from the front.
07:48Just a nice little level change.
07:50Yeah.
07:51Good attempt.
07:52But again.
07:53Headoros has really good timing.
07:54You see him.
07:55He times that left hook with his own left hook and got his head out of the way.
08:00And then there's occasionally.
08:01Shihi brought his hands up.
08:04Bringing that high guard up.
08:05You saw Cadellos timing that right uppercut.
08:08Right up the middle.
08:09Shihi keeping his head directly on the line.
08:11He got to be careful doing that.
08:13And then I'm seeing him also jabbing.
08:15And he's reaching with his jab.
08:17Leaning over that front leg.
08:18Headoros is going to try to set him up with another uppercut in this next round.
08:22I'm sure.
08:24You got to tighten those things up.
08:25These are growing pains right now for a young fighter.
08:28Growing pains.
08:29And this is a good test for Shihi at this point in his career.
08:33Headoros is a sound, solid fighter that has fought great competitions.
08:49A little smaller.
08:50A little smaller.
08:55As soon as you see that guard go up, attack it.
08:58There you go.
08:59Good.
09:03That's it.
09:06That's it.
09:07Attack that guard.
09:09Hands go up.
09:10You go down.
09:17Nice.
09:18Give me that right hand over the top.
09:21That's it.
09:26That body is looking a little soft.
09:27Start stepping to him.
09:28Step to him.
09:29Left eye.
09:30Right corner.
09:31Straight.
09:32Mike, cut.
09:33Left eye.
09:34Let me go in.
09:35Yeah.
09:43No, no.
09:44Don't reach for it.
09:45You have to double it up.
09:46Double it up.
09:47Stop.
09:50Box.
09:51Let's start stepping right.
09:55Step right.
09:56Let's jab that left hook.
09:59That's it.
10:03Get underneath.
10:04Stay small.
10:06That's it.
10:07Double that up, Charlie.
10:15Move your head.
10:16Halfway.
10:17Side to side.
10:18Side to side.
10:19Stop.
10:20Step back.
10:21No punch.
10:22I want you to work that free hand, Charlie.
10:27Nice.
10:28That's it.
10:34Let's work from the bottom up now.
10:35Once you get inside, bottom up.
10:43Nice.
10:44Good.
10:45One more time.
10:48Little shovel hook.
10:53There you go.
10:55Step back.
10:58That's it.
10:59Walk him.
11:00Walk him.
11:01Walk him.
11:05Knee right.
11:06Knee right there.
11:07Feint.
11:09Give him that little drop feint right there.
11:11Drop feint.
11:12There you go.
11:13Set it up.
11:14Touch.
11:15Nice.
11:16Good.
11:17Stop.
11:18Box.
11:25Get that left hand up.
11:2710 seconds.
11:28Stop at the bell.
11:2910 segundos.
11:30Para la campana.
11:33That's it.
11:34Good eyes.
11:35Good eyes.
11:36Listen for that bell.
11:37Box.
11:38Tiempo.
11:43You know, sometimes, as far as we get in there, and we have a hard time finding our rhythm,
11:49finding the mark against our opponents.
11:52And that's what Chihi's having right now.
11:54You know, he's finding problems getting any momentum going.
11:59You know, getting consistency going with his offense.
12:02You know, you see his face there.
12:04It's bloody.
12:05He's dealing with that.
12:06He's dealing with the nose possibly fractured or something.
12:10Nose is bleeding.
12:11And it looks deformed in a way.
12:14So he's dealing with a lot of elements on top of having to not actually be at his very
12:20best and being able to land his offense repeatedly.
12:25Very frustrating for a fighter.
12:27Can be mentally draining as well.
12:29He's in a tough match tonight, man.
12:31He's going to have to do something to be able to have a better round this upcoming round.
12:36And the fact that the narrative of a fight can change when a fighter's face is bloodied
12:42and you get an opponent who keeps pressuring.
12:44Box.
12:45Boxing with Javier Centeno and this ESPN Plus modified ringside coverage.
12:58It's round four, Jolly.
12:59We start to pick it up now.
13:00Pick it up.
13:04Remember, don't pull that head back.
13:06Stay low.
13:07Stay small.
13:08Fight him small.
13:09Right there.
13:10Work in there.
13:12No, no.
13:13I'm here.
13:14Instead of pushing him, use that left hand.
13:16That left hand's available.
13:17Lift him up with it.
13:21Nice.
13:22Good.
13:23Set it up again.
13:30He's throwing single jabs.
13:31I need you to double up to get in.
13:35Nice.
13:36Good.
13:37Stop.
13:38No, no.
13:39Don't hit him in the back.
13:40Here we go.
13:41Box.
13:42A little bit more pressure with presence, Charlie.
13:43Step in.
13:44There you go.
13:47Everything gets countered.
13:48Good.
13:49Follow up.
13:53Left hand now.
13:54Left hand.
13:55Stop.
13:56Watch your head.
13:57Watch your head.
13:58Box.
14:01Set up.
14:02Set up.
14:03Good base.
14:04Set up a good base, bitch.
14:05Put yourself in a good position.
14:07Right there.
14:08Now jab off of that.
14:09Stop.
14:10No punch.
14:11No punch.
14:12Good.
14:14Good position.
14:15Position first.
14:16Nice.
14:19That's it.
14:20Give me a double after that.
14:24That's it.
14:26That's smart.
14:27More boxing now.
14:31Here we go.
14:32Box.
14:36Still the same cut.
14:37Stop.
14:39Here we go.
14:40Box.
14:42Twitch it.
14:44Twitch it.
14:46One minute.
14:47Up and down again.
14:48Up and down.
14:52Knee first.
14:53Knee first.
14:54Good.
14:57Nice shots there, Charlie.
15:00Use that little drop in again.
15:01Try that left hook.
15:03Good.
15:08Up and down.
15:09Up and down.
15:12Up and down.
15:14Up to the side.
15:16That's it.
15:18Start stepping right.
15:22Step right.
15:23Jam that hook.
15:26Catch and shoot off the hook.
15:32That's it.
15:34Double up.
15:35Double up.
15:36Double up.
15:3710 seconds.
15:38Stop at the bell.
15:42Time.
15:51Shihi starting to find a home for his right hand in this last round.
15:56Beautiful counter right here.
15:58You know, these are the shots he's got to look for more often than none.
16:02Quiroz again is sneaky, but he also makes mistakes.
16:06He threw a jab right there from mid-range.
16:08And that time, Shihi making him pay.
16:10But then again, nice little cross parry with the left hand from Shihi to be able to set up another right hand.
16:16But this was a little bit better round.
16:18He was able to find some offense.
16:20It should build some confidence for him.
16:22Quiroz again, very dangerous.
16:25Still coming on strong.
16:27He did a little bit of body work in that last round.
16:30He's trying to slow down Shihi.
16:32Let's see if it helps him in these later rounds.
16:35And Raul Caiz Jr., the third man in the ring, came over to confirm that the cut under the left thigh was caused by a punch.
16:44The round 5 of a scheduled 8th rounder here at the Palms Casino Resort.
16:49We leave you once again with a modified ESPN Plus ringside coverage with Javier Centeno in Shihi's corner.
17:05Stop.
17:07Watch your head.
17:09Forget the head on that, Charlie.
17:15That's it. Nice. Good.
17:19Good. Everything gets a count in this round.
17:26I need something over the top of that weak jab.
17:29Good jab.
17:34Stop. No punch.
17:36Here we go. Box.
17:46Get it going. That's it. That's it.
17:51Remember, I need that head moving right after you throw.
17:56Up and down. Change your levels now.
17:57One up, two down.
17:59There you go. He's hurt.
18:02You hurt him with that right hand, right? Set it up again.
18:05Roll to your right.
18:09That's it. Get your jab going again.
18:11That's it.
18:13Keep him buzzed. Keep him buzzed.
18:15Tight. Tight.
18:18Get it going, Charlie.
18:20Hop it. Hop it.
18:23Don't wait on him to be first.
18:24Let's not be reactive. Let's go proactive.
18:27No punch. No punch. I'm here.
18:29No punch. Here we go.
18:31I want you to lead.
18:36That's it.
18:41That jab's coming in low.
18:43I want that two over the top again.
18:45I'm here.
18:50Nice.
18:52Two and then shift.
18:53Shift to throw that three.
18:55Shift right. Throw the left hook.
18:57Shift right. Throw the left hook.
18:59Right arm. Stop.
19:05That worked. Good.
19:07Double that. Double that.
19:14Nice. Good.
19:16Remember where that head is.
19:18He's dipping that head to the right.
19:21Nice. Good.
19:23Stop.
19:26Set yourself up. Good base.
19:28Stop.
19:30No. Stop.
19:32Box.
19:34There you go. That's what I'm looking for.
19:39Now set up your second attack off that.
19:41Ten seconds. Stop at the bell.
19:43Good.
19:45Nice. Good jab.
19:50Tiempo.
19:51Now you're starting to see more momentum now.
19:55More success coming from Chihi in that last round.
19:58The right hand, like I told you, that's the money punch for him.
20:02You know, Quiroz sometimes gets ahead of himself.
20:05He'll shoot a jab from too close right there.
20:07He got caught and buzzed with this right hand.
20:09Check this out.
20:11Just dropped his lead hand. That was it.
20:13Just dropped his lead hand in mid-range.
20:15Chihi just filling that hole right there with that right hand.
20:18And again, nice change up right there.
20:19Going downstairs first to bring those eyes down.
20:22Bring the attention downstairs and sneaking right over the top.
20:25Better round, more momentum, a little bit more consistency.
20:29Last round for Chihi.
20:31But again, Quiroz always dangerous, always in the fight.
20:35I wish he picked it up a little bit more, to be honest with you.
20:39If he picks it up a little bit more and puts more pressure on Chihi,
20:42he'll have more success.
20:44He'll put Chihi in a panic situation or at least attempt to put him in a panic situation.
20:47Panic situation.
20:49And Quiroz is a natural 140 pounder who's been in against
20:53Tiger Johnson, Rojan Polanco, Jermaine Ortiz, and Gio Cabrera.
20:57Never been stopped in his four professional losses.
21:00This is his 18th professional fight.
21:02We send you back to Javier Centeno on our modified ESPN Plus ringside coverage.
21:08You're holding him. Now you're holding. Here we go. Box.
21:11You don't let go when I tell you to. You're holding. Let him go.
21:15Last chance.
21:17Nice. Good. Good shot.
21:24Hold that ground a little bit more. Hold it. Hold it.
21:29Nice. Good.
21:32Right hand.
21:34Pull your arm out.
21:36Box.
21:39Change the tempo a little bit.
21:42Nice. Good.
21:47That's it.
21:51Try to shift off. Try to shift off.
21:54Box.
21:58Nice. Good jab.
22:00Solid.
22:02Good base. Remember, set everything off a good base.
22:06Nice.
22:08See that guard go up? Split it. Split it.
22:11Split it.
22:17That's it. Be first. Be first.
22:19Good.
22:21His break is balanced. Nice.
22:23Follow through.
22:30Don't get too heavy on that lead foot, Charlie, when you're throwing that jab.
22:34I want you to be able to push off that back foot.
22:41Right there. Good. Nice.
22:43Good work in there.
22:44Let him go, Charlie.
22:45That's it. Smother his stuff.
22:54Shots off the smother.
22:56There you go. Nice.
22:58Give me that left hook off that turn.
23:01Nice. Good.
23:03That was on the air. That was on the air.
23:06Start stepping right.
23:08There you go. Change direction. Good.
23:11That's it.
23:13Keep it tight.
23:15Side to side.
23:17Side to side.
23:20There you go. Good guard. Good guard.
23:23Start doubling that, Charlie. He's turning away. Double it up.
23:31Right there. No time off. Just work.
23:34Box.
23:37Nice.
23:41Good.
23:43There you go.
23:44Watch your heads, guys.
23:46That's what we want to try to set up.
23:4710 seconds. Stop at the bell.
23:53There you go. Nice.
23:55Good. Good job.
24:01See, young fighters, they need versatility.
24:04And that's what you're seeing from Shihe during that last round.
24:07That's what you saw from Shihe.
24:08Using footwork to create offense for himself.
24:11Not standing directly in front of his opposition.
24:16Nice little step inside with that left hand downstairs.
24:23And then investing in the body.
24:25You got a taller opponent. I love that.
24:27Investing, going downstairs with two shots, and then closing the gap.
24:31That's great tactical work right there by the young Shihe.
24:34But see, the thing is, is the versatility.
24:36You got to be able to move.
24:38Sometimes you got to fight in every single range, one.
24:41And you got to be comfortable in every single range.
24:43He's comfortable on his back foot as well as coming forward.
24:49A lot of it is the changing of directions.
24:51The fact that he's got Ricardo Quiroz off balance.
24:54And that there's no more blood coming from his nose or his eyes.
24:58Great job by Mike, the mechanic Basil, in the corner of Charlie Shihe.
25:01Back to our ESPN Plus ringside.
25:05Modified coverage with Javier Centeno in the corner of Charlie Shihe.
25:11Good head movement.
25:13That's it. Now let's punch off that movement.
25:15Side to side.
25:17That's it. Good.
25:20Nice. Good.
25:25That's the Charlie I like. Let's go.
25:27Stop. No. No. No.
25:28No defense.
25:30Let's see that go.
25:35There you go. Split. Split that jab with him.
25:39Pop it. Pop it.
25:44That's it. Nice. Right hand. Good.
25:49That's it. Just guide that right hand in.
25:52Guide it in.
25:53Short. Short and straight.
25:56Short and straight.
25:57Nice.
26:00Stop.
26:02Remember that body edge, Charlie. Right hook body. Left hook up.
26:05I'm jumping in right away.
26:07Here we go. Box. I'm going to get in there right away.
26:09Short and straight.
26:13Step to him. There you go. Step. Step. Step.
26:15Step. Step. Step.
26:21He starts bouncing out like that. I want you to go ahead and step.
26:27Work in there. Work in there.
26:33Got to catch and counter that.
26:35Let's go. Come out of the box.
26:42Nice. Good. That's it.
26:43Now work.
26:47Step with him.
26:54He gets in tight. I want you to frame and throw the uppercut.
27:05That's it.
27:08Keep working.
27:10Box.
27:13Come on.
27:17Step to him. Step to him. Step to him.
27:19There you go.
27:21Don't pull out like that, Charlie. Come on.
27:24Hands are free. Let him go. Hands are free.
27:27Punch him. Let him go.
27:28Let him go, Charlie. There you go.
27:31Right there. You got it.
27:33Don't let him off the hook like that.
27:35Stop.
27:37Box.
27:39He stands up with those hands down. I need you to attack him.
27:43Come on.
27:46Nice. Good.
27:49Now follow through with that right hand.
27:5110 seconds. Step with the bell.
27:53Para la campana.
28:00Tempo.
28:05That last round, you saw more versatility coming from Sheehy.
28:09He came forward.
28:11Also used his legs to create offense himself.
28:14But here, now resulting to the catch and shoot.
28:17He caught that right hand.
28:19Same side shooting with the left hook.
28:22Beautiful skills right there that's been implemented in the young fella.
28:29And then just tucking up on the inside again.
28:32Just looking for opportunities.
28:34Just profiling his opposition.
28:36Understanding where his head is.
28:38Throwing another left hook on the inside.
28:40Just grazed his opposition.
28:42But you can tell his eyes are open.
28:44He's calm.
28:46And he's in, I would say, full control of this fight right now.
28:58We'll close out this Charlie Sheehy-Ricardo Quiroz fight in the 8th round with our traditional coverage.
29:03And Charlie Sheehy, one knockout in his last four fights after four knockouts in his first five pro fights.
29:10Making a jump up to 140 pounds.
29:13Now, the opponents hit harder.
29:16They take a shot better.
29:18And that's what we've seen so far here.
29:20Quiroz has never been stopped against his losses against Gio Cabrera, Tiger Johnson, Rojan Polanco, and Jermaine Ortiz.
29:27Two world title challengers.
29:29Two former Olympians.
29:30Two Olympians.
29:32World class opposition that Quiroz has been in against.
29:43Nice body work there from Sheehy as Quiroz tries to attack.
29:47Yeah, Quiroz is trying to put more and more pressure right there.
29:51Starting out the gate.
29:53Putting more combinations together.
29:55And what he's doing is now he's trying to counter the counter.
29:57So he knows he's getting countered after the first shot.
30:00So he'll throw the first shot.
30:02The counter will come, but then he comes right back with his offense.
30:05Catching Sheehy out of position.
30:08Or at least attempting to.
30:13I see it, but I'm gonna let it go.
30:15Tape loose.
30:17And Raul Caiz Jr. says, I see it, but I'm gonna let it go.
30:21Tries to fix it momentarily on the left leg of Ricardo Quiroz.
30:25There's that stick.
30:27And then the body shot from Charlie Sheehy.
30:28Yeah, not a whole lot of body work coming from Sheehy.
30:32Now he's attempting using that stab jab.
30:34Gotta be careful. Quiroz has an undercut.
30:37And a nice chopping overhand right from Quiroz there.
30:40As he found Sheehy in range.
30:42And good jab.
30:45But again, go ahead.
30:47Sheehy not really using that two and a half inch reach advantage against Quiroz.
30:52Quiroz is a really good counter puncher, man.
30:55He has really good timing.
30:56He looks to punch with you at times.
31:01He looks to punch before you at times.
31:04He looks to place shots in between your shots.
31:06You see he's looking for that left hook on the inside.
31:08Sheehy has to hold that phone.
31:10Make sure he holds that right hand up to be able to catch that left hook.
31:13And then occasionally you see Quiroz, he'll shoot a left hand down to the body
31:18or even a right hand down to the body.
31:20Nice stick there from Quiroz.
31:22No doubt that the best hand that Quiroz has is that left.
31:25As he tries to set it up there.
31:27Nice counter left from Charlie Sheehy as well.
31:29Quiroz left his chin on the platter right there.
31:31Just standing straight up.
31:33Sheehy dropping levels.
31:35Coming up with that left hook.
31:37And those are the shots that sometimes can make the difference to him in a round.
31:42It does.
31:44This is the most impactful shot that we've seen in this round from Sheehy.
31:47And now you got the talent of Sheehy.
31:50You got the talent of Sheehy coming to the forefront.
31:53You got the condition of Sheehy.
31:55Now he's confident.
31:57He got in his rhythm now.
32:00And he's gotten into his bag.
32:05And we mentioned how the narrative of a fight can change based on how bloody a fighter looks.
32:11First round he was bleeding from his nose.
32:13Third round he was cut and bleeding from the left eye.
32:16And Mike Basil did a wonderful job of taking that out of the equation.
32:20That's why it's important to have one of the best cut men in the business.
32:24And I just be pulling Mike Basil's leg when I say baby stitch.
32:28It's a running joke that we have.
32:30But it's important to have that.
32:32Because now you have confidence that he's going to stop.
32:35The corner's not panicking at all.
32:38And that keeps your fighter calm as well.
32:41But they told him the right things.
32:44I thought Javier has done a good job in guiding him.
32:46The first couple of rounds were kind of sketchy I would say.
32:52But at the same time he was able to figure it out.
32:55This is an eight round fight.
32:57Sometimes it takes a little time to get developed and get activated into the fight.
33:01Sheehy took his time.
33:03He started using his legs.
33:05Started finding that right hand.
33:07And kind of took over the fight after that.
33:09Again, great timing.
33:11Has fought better competition.
33:13But I feel like he doesn't have any more gears.
33:16He needs more gears.
33:18Just the same pace all the way through the fight.
33:21If he would have been able to step on the gas a little bit more
33:24he could have done a lot better.
33:26But I would say Sheehy, no doubt about it.
33:28I think he won the fight tonight.
33:30And we were looking at Mike Basil over there in the corner.
33:33And we knew him from the bubble when he and Stitch would work opposite corners
33:37as the company cut men.
33:39But he really has been working with Charlie Sheehy.
33:41He really has been working with Charlie Sheehy
33:43from the jump out there in Northern California.
33:45So they have a special relationship and a bond.
33:48Alright, let's send it up to Mark Chinook for the decision.
33:51Ladies and gentlemen, after eight rounds here inside the Pearl Concert Theatre
33:56at the Palms Casino Resort
33:58we go to the judges scorecards for the official decision.
34:02Steve Weisfeld has it 78-74.
34:06Tim Cheatham and Chris Migliore both have it 77-75.
34:11For your winner by unanimous decision
34:15Charlie Sheehy!
34:23Charlie Sheehy, 50% of those have come by stoppage.
34:27That was not the case against the rugged Ricardo Quiroz
34:30who loses for the fifth time as a pro.
