00:00David, what are your thoughts on that reduced match? It was only a short one, but you packed plenty into it.
00:08Yeah, it's always fun when it's a shortened game.
00:11For us personally, you always feel the shorter the game gets, the more chance it brings us into the game.
00:17One guy can just take it away.
00:19But I thought Jonny Biesto and Harry played beautifully there in the middle.
00:22They showed exactly how to play on that type of wicket.
00:24It wasn't the easiest of wickets.
00:26There was a little bit of spongy bounce.
00:28The pitch was a little bit wet.
00:29They put together a nice partnership there so that Moeen and Livi can go racking in the end.
00:35I thought we would have liked a little bit less, but I still feel like we gave it a good go in the end.
00:41Obviously, very well balled at the top as well, but in terms of your batting, can you talk us through the decision?
00:47It took us a little bit by surprise.
00:49Yeah, it took me by surprise also. I wasn't quite expecting that.
00:53I think it was just, obviously there was only three or four overs left.
00:57Traditionally in a T20 game, that's when I try and come in and make an impact.
01:01I just thought we'd try to simplify it that way and say there's only a couple of overs left.
01:06We knew Ash still had another over, maybe to the shorter side there.
01:10If I could get in there and face a couple before his over, I could try and take him down for a big over there to give us a bit of momentum.
01:17You've played a lot of franchises all over the world.
01:21I know it's happened a few times, but have you experienced that before, retired out in a T20?
01:26No, that's the first time I've personally been involved in it.
01:29I've seen it happen in other games. I think it's only a handful of times that it's happened.
01:33In all fairness, tactically you can see it happening a bit more in this game.
01:38As the game moves on and moves forward and tactics come into place, I'm sure you'll see it happen a lot more.
01:44When you say it took you by surprise, how much notice did you have that you were off to bat?
01:49I knew I was next in. I knew if a wicket fell I was next in. I didn't quite know the wicket was going to fall that way.
01:54I was ready to go, just for a moment we didn't quite know what was going on.
02:00As soon as I got the message, I was ready to go.
02:03We saw you waving to the crowd and to your teammates.
02:08In terms of Namibia, is that you done for now?
02:10Yeah, for now. Next T20 World Cup is still two years away.
02:16I'm 39 years old now. In terms of international cricket, I don't know if there's much left in me.
02:22Obviously, I'd still like to play the game for a couple more years.
02:26I feel like I've still got a lot to contribute and a lot to play.
02:29I just feel like what better place to end a special career for me personally with Namibia.
02:35I've had a lot of good times with them.
02:37To play my last game for them, possibly at a World Cup against a world-class team like England, it just seemed like the right time.
02:46Good luck.
02:50Thank you.
