Cleanup efforts following the oil spill caused by an allision on Friday (June 14) between a Netherlands-flagged dredging boat Vox Maxima and the stationary Singapore-flagged bunker vessel Marine Honour continued on Saturday (June 16).
A biodiversity survey coordinated by the National Parks Board (NParks) involving about 20 experienced volunteers - including marine scientists, conservationists and business representatives - found no dead fish or oil-drenched creatures on the oil-slicked areas of St John’s and Lazarus islands.
