00:30A vacant Derbyshire pub, which never reopened after the pandemic lockdown, is now set to
00:55be converted into homes, with bungalows being built in its former car park.
00:59The King's Arms pub in the Common Critch closed in March 2020 in line with the first
01:04Covid lockdown, and while the intention remained for it to reopen, it never did.
01:10Documents show that two offers for the pub were received during marketing for £500,000
01:15and £750,000 respectively, but both were later withdrawn.
01:20Now the owners of the premises have submitted plans to turn the former pub into two homes
01:25one four-bedroomed and one three-bedroomed, and to build two three-bedroom bungalows on
01:29the pub's former car park.
01:32A decision on their planning application will be made by Amberbury Borough Council in the
01:36next few months.
