00:00Today, Filipinos across the nation commemorates the 156th birth anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal,
00:07one of the country's most revered national heroes.
00:10Rizal, born on June 19, 1861 in Calamba, Laguna, is honored for his contributions to Philippine
00:17literature and the fight for independence, inspiring generations to strive for freedom
00:22and justice.
00:24Celebrating Laguna Day, various activities honored his memory, including a wreath-laying
00:28ceremony led by Manila City Mayor Hani Lacuña-Pangan at the Rizal Park Monument.
00:34His legacy continues to serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for a better future
00:39for the Philippines.
00:41It is very important for us to continue to remind all of our countrymen here in the Philippines
00:49of what Dr. Rizal did for our homeland.
00:55It is very important that we remember his legacy every June 19.
