00:00I'm a mom, I have three magnificent kids.
00:04Celine Dion's emotional premiere with son Rene Charles by her side.
00:09Plus, why?
00:10More on that in a moment.
00:12But first, Celine Dion takes over North America with star-studded special screenings of her
00:16new documentary.
00:17You sang to me, don't surrender because you can win.
00:25Who gives you the light and the strength to not surrender?
00:31The mother in me.
00:33I'm a mom.
00:34I have three magnificent kids and I have been having fans 30 years for so long.
00:41Thank you.
00:42And this documentary, it gave me so much deliverance, you know, like so much weight on my shoulders
00:50like they found what's going on.
00:54And it's my responsibility to tell myself, my kids, my fans, as much to the people to
01:01give them awareness.
01:02The power of love for Celine Dion is everywhere.
01:06Kelly Clarkson, Gayle King, and Laverne Cox all show support at the film's New York premiere
01:11for I Am Celine Dion.
01:13The documentary starts streaming later this month on Prime and follows Celine throughout
01:17her fight with stiff person syndrome.
01:20I was born ready, trust me, but that process was a long one and it was a battle but I was
01:28not alone.
01:29Well, Arlene is standing by now in New York City.
01:32Arlene, what was it like meeting Celine for the first time?
01:35Tyrone, Tracy, it was beyond my expectations.
01:39I mean, Celine was as warm and generous and emotional as you expect her to be.
01:45What can your fans do for you?
01:46All the fans.
01:47What can we do for you?
01:48You know what?
01:50Don't change anything.
01:51My fans and all of you have been doing more than any artist can hope and pray for.
01:58I am so thankful.
02:00Thank you.
02:01Thank you so much.
02:02Thank you for what you brought to our lives.
02:03Thank you for bringing a little color of courage.
02:06Thank you.
02:07Thank you.
02:08And she continues to be resilient because of her children.
02:12So beautiful to hear.
02:13It's also so great to see Celine's son, Rene Charles, at the premiere to support her.
02:17He's so grown up.
02:18Did you see them together inside the theater?
02:22I did see them, Celine and Arcee, that's what she calls him, arrived at Lincoln Center together
02:27holding hands.
02:28And then he was standing side stage during her remarks.
02:32I hope to see you all again very, very soon.
02:43It's so sweet to see.
02:44And now, Tracy, I heard you were at the Toronto premiere.
02:47So what did you think?
02:48I thought it was heartbreakingly beautiful and candid.
02:51And Celine, who's given us so much, continues to give us so much.
02:56And I'm just thankful that she decided to share it that way.
02:58And I can't wait for you to come back home, Lainey, so we can talk about it all in person.
03:02Yeah, same here.
03:03And there are also celebrations for the doc in Montreal, of course, and Toronto.
03:08In Montreal, Celine's family shows their love, as is the always fabulous Tika the Iggy.
03:14And in Toronto, Canada's queen of R&B, Julie Black, unites the crowd with her tribute to
03:19her sister in Canadian music.
03:23Huge honor to get the call, to be a connector, to host an event that has to do with someone
03:27that's willing to be so vulnerable.
03:29Julie is another person who always gives her heart when she speaks.
03:32Just to have the two icons, Canadian women, I feel like it's one of those things I'm always
03:36going to remember, which is nice.
03:37I love Celine Dion so much, and so my mom is watching my baby tonight so I can be here.
03:45Me growing up, I remember my mom having her CDs on repeat, so she's really jealous that
03:51we're coming here tonight.
03:52The new day has come, I don't know, it's burned into my brain.
03:54It's all coming back to me now, it's been an anthem of Tune Canada for years at this
03:57point.
03:58It's something that whenever we get together, we all belt out.
04:00I think I might have handed Celine one of her first Junos, if not her first, 32 years
04:08ago.
04:09Celine's music is like another hit, no one touches what she does, but she just has a
04:13way of pulling on your heartstrings.
