Joe Crann gives you his on-the-whistle reaction to England's disappointing display in the 1-1 draw against Denmark.

00:00So, it's a draw for England today and, to be honest, they were probably quite lucky
00:05to come away with a draw in the end. I think it was so many England fans were looking for
00:10a better performance, looking for an improvement, looking for something that gave them a little
00:14bit more hope, just in terms of the entire tournament after the limping victory over
00:20Serbia. They didn't manage to get that. They took the lead against Denmark and I think
00:24people were quite positive after that. England looked like they could do something with it.
00:28They looked like they could kick on. There were a few players in there that were starting
00:33to find their feet a little bit. But then, after the goal, they just fell apart a bit.
00:38They invited Denmark on them again. Basically, the same as what they did against Serbia.
00:44They weren't able to go for the jugular and make it count and make their superiority count,
00:51which on paper England have a better group of players than what Denmark do. They were
00:56unable to make that count today. I think there are too many players in that England
01:00side and Gareth Southgate has got some big decisions to make after this. Too many players
01:05that you think you would expect to kick on and really take these games by the scruff
01:10of the neck. You look at someone like Jude Bellingham, obviously he takes the positives
01:14when they come. He was a player that didn't really get into it today. But you look at
01:17the two pivots in Declan Rice and Trent Alexander-Arnold and they weren't able to get into it.
01:26It's now difficult for England in terms of getting people on board with what they're
01:31trying to do because it wasn't a good game. They weren't better than they were against
01:35Serbia. They were worse. Now they go into this third game of the group and yes, technically
01:39they're better off because they're top of the group with a game to go. But England fans
01:44want to see more and I'm sure that the players and the manager want to see more as well.
01:47We'll see. We'll see what happens now. Not an ideal afternoon of football at the Euros
01:52but I suppose if you want to look at the positives, they are still unbeaten and they go into the
01:56Slovenia game with their own fate in their own hands. So we'll see what happens. I'll
01:59speak to you soon. Cheers.
