00:00So Nick, today about 5,000 head, feedlockers very active on the heavier stuff, how did
00:05it go with the heavier stuff and also then that lighter cattle that came into those middle
00:09pens, middle lanes?
00:10Yeah, so our heavy feeder cattle have sold quite well, their dollars per head were up
00:15on last month but we probably had a little bit more weight too, so cents a kilo were
00:19just slightly dearer than last month from what we've worked out, and they carried on
00:23through the heavier end of the weaners as well, a very similar story.
00:29The middle weight sort of grown steers and weaner steers are only firm on last month
00:35going by our report, but then the lighter weights are probably just slightly softer
00:40in the steer and certainly the heifer department as well, but yeah, both the heavy feeder steers
00:46and heifers have sold very well to a strong field of buyers here today.
00:51So price-wise, what were we looking at?
00:53So a lot of those heavy feeders were making $3.70s and $3.80s and there was the odd pen
00:58nudge up near $4 for the heavier end, and then once you drop back in the weight you're
01:03certainly over the $4s pretty consistently and there was at least three, if not four
01:09feedlot operators there going pretty well.
