00:00As you were saying mate. Yeah so at this stage we would normally have 18 firefighters,

00:04at this stage we have five for sure. People would love to come along and try and help

00:09the community and learn new skills and meet new and interesting people and great friends.

00:14Absolutely. Some of the things, so this is our public appliance, our main appliance for around

00:20the town and this is one you've probably seen lately going around town. The driver and the

00:26person in charge is at the front and the crew sits in the back.

00:30How many people can fit in the firetrucks? This one will hold six.

00:34Oh okay.

00:38I'll show you some of the equipment that we'll get to use as a firefighter.

00:44So we have all different types of rescue equipment, fans, generators,

00:50um,

00:54saws,

01:02a lot of stuff you'll see around the streets, cones,

01:05yeah tools. It's probably what most people will be interested in.

01:11There's a bit on this side.

01:13So this allows us to go into smoke environments, toxic

01:24atmospheres, yep, and things where we don't think the air is safe for us to breathe.

01:31Yep, are they very heavy? They weigh about

01:34440 kilos. Oh okay, yep.
