00:00By now I know many of you love haunted ritual stories, and to be honest, I find it difficult
00:08to believe that people in many parts of the world practice these absurd rituals to date.
00:14Despite so much progress in the field of science, people still fall for such cheap thrills for
00:19various reasons.
00:21And one of the primary reasons is fun.
00:24I knew I had to tell the story to make other people aware of the consequences of such actions.
00:31So, when I heard the story of a teenage girl doing a haunted ritual just for some fun,
00:38this is the story of a teenage girl named Miranda.
00:42She lived in the states, and she was around 16 years of age.
00:46Now, if you know today's teenagers, they always have their heads buried in a cell phone or
00:52some other device.
00:54Miranda too was a tech addict, but instead of cell phones, she loved her PC.
01:00She loved to play online games on her PC.
01:03Every day after school, and every night after her parents went to bed, Miranda used to lock
01:09her room and play online games for hours.
01:13Sometimes it used to be PUBG, sometimes Clash of Clans, and sometimes something else.
01:19But that fateful night, she discovered a new online game called The Bath Game.
01:25She had never heard about this game before, nor seen any advertisements about it, but
01:31she decided to play it anyway.
01:33This game, unlike other computer games.
01:37Once she clicked on the game, there was a rule page displayed.
01:41It clearly mentioned that any player playing this game had to follow the rules and play
01:46the game till the very end, no matter what, or the consequence could be deadly.
01:53You know how teenagers are.
01:55They are careless about the consequences and more about the thrill.
01:59Miranda too decided to play the game without thinking twice about the consequences.
02:04The first thing a player needed to do was take a bath.
02:08Not a quick shower, but a real bath.
02:12Miranda stripped her clothes off, filled the bathtub, and got in it.
02:16She had also switched off all the lights in the bathroom as per the game's instructions.

02:24She had to hold her head under the running faucet and wash her hair while repeating a

04:18She felt uneasy, as if someone was continuously watching her.

04:29A couple of hours later, she finally managed to get some shut-eye.
04:33The next day, she woke up as if the previous night had just been a bad dream.
04:38She showered, ate breakfast, and went to school just like any other day.
04:44But as the day passed, Miranda started feeling a continuous presence behind her.
04:50It was as if someone was following her, keeping an eye on her.
04:55As the evening rolled, her mom took her to the mall to shop.
04:59Although, like any teenage girl, Miranda loved to shop too, that day she wasn't enjoying
05:06it.
05:07And by then she was sure that the spirit from last night was following her, no matter where
05:12she went and what she did.
05:15While shopping, Miranda's mom was checking out some outfits in another aisle, while Miranda
05:20was alone in the dress section.
05:22When she turned, she saw a woman from the corner of her eye, but she ignored it, as
05:28she was in a boutique, women were everywhere.
05:31The next moment she turned around and screamed out loud, as she wasn't holding a dress in
05:37her hand, but instead a severed head of a woman with only one eye and long black hair.
05:44Right then, her mom called her towards the billing counter, and when she turned, she
05:49gazed back to her hands, she was still holding the dress.
05:54While billing, her mom was paying the cashier, while Miranda was handing her the dress she
05:59wanted.
06:00That's when she spotted the weird woman again, only this time, she could see the woman clearly
06:05staring at her.
06:08This woman was wearing a white and torn dress, with her jet black locks open and with an
06:13empty eye socket.
06:15The woman rushed towards Miranda, terrifying her to death, but before the woman could harm
06:20her, Miranda remembered a rule from the game.
06:24To Rami, Miranda yelled, and ran out of the store.
06:28Her mom followed a screaming and terrified Miranda.
06:31What's going on?
06:33Her mom demanded answers, but Miranda had none.
06:37She was so petrified that she could not utter a word to answer her mom.
06:41Her mom managed to somehow get her into the car and drove her home.
06:46On the way, she could feel the spirit chasing her.
06:49The ghostly woman was running, following the car, trying to get to Miranda.
06:54The more her mom sped up the car, the faster the spirit approached Miranda.
07:00Her mom could see the fright in her daughter's eyes.
07:03The moment they reached home, Miranda yelled, to Rami, to Rami, and hopped out of the car
07:09running towards her home.
07:11Her parents were confused and worried for Miranda.
07:14No matter where she looked, all she could see was the weird, one-eyed woman.
07:20She was going from room to room, trying to hide from the spirit while yelling, to Rami,
07:25to Rami, but to no use, as the ghost would always find her.
07:31The thing that had started as a stupid online game had escalated into something deadly.
07:38Despite being scared and feverish, Miranda finally gathered the courage to face her fears,
07:43which were in this case, a spirit.
07:47According to the rules of the game, Miranda had to do the last step to end the game.
07:53The step was easy.
07:54She had to say the word, Kati, and do a simple action.
07:59However, now the tables had turned.
08:02Whenever Miranda tried to say the words and do the action to end it all, the spirit used
08:07to disappear from her sight.
08:09This went on for a good while before her parents decided to finally intervene.
08:15Looking at their feverish and scared daughter, they gave her some medication and a sleeping pill.
08:22Miranda finally closed her eyes while her parents watched her fall asleep.
08:27The next time Miranda opened her eyes, she was in her bathtub, just as she was at the
08:33beginning of the game.
08:34However, this time, she couldn't move.
08:38When she turned around, she saw that the evil spirit had wrapped her arms around her, preventing
08:43her from moving.
08:45Miranda struggled to get out, but she couldn't.
08:48All she could do was hear the evil woman laugh while slowly Miranda felt herself drown in
08:53her bathtub.
08:55As a last attempt to save herself, she yelled, Kati, but the spirit did not go, nor could
09:02she breathe anymore.
09:04The next time Miranda opened her eyes, she was still in her bed, sweaty and hyperventilating.
09:10Her parents were right in front of her trying to soothe her, but to no use.
09:16Miranda looked at the clock, and it was 1230 AM, which meant she wasn't able to end the
09:21game before the deadline.
09:23This terrified Miranda even more.
09:26As the days passed, every night, Miranda had the same nightmare of the evil spirit drowning
09:32her in her own bathtub.
09:35And finally, one day, Miranda died.
09:39Her dead body was found in her bathtub.
09:42She had died of drowning.
09:44However, the truth about the bath game got out when Miranda's mom read her diary after
09:49her passing.
09:50In the diary, Miranda had documented her experience, and the fact that Daruma-san, the evil spirit,
09:58was out to get her.
