NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule congratulated Om Birla on his re-election as Lok Sabha Speaker. She praised his attentiveness during COVID-19 and his team's efforts in running Parliament. However, Sule expressed sadness over the suspension of 150 colleagues. She urged avoiding suspensions in the next five years, emphasizing readiness for dialogue. Sule's comments balanced appreciation for Birla's work with concerns about opposition voices in Parliament.

00:00I take this opportunity on behalf of the Nationalist Congress Party and the original founder and
00:14our beloved leader Shri Sharad Pawarji and all of us to congratulate you on your second
00:20innings.
00:21I still remember the first day when I met you, sir, with my colleague and friend Rajiv
00:25Pratap Rudyji.
00:26That was the first time I met you, and ever since you have taken this seat, you have always
00:33taken care of all of us, but in the last five years, in COVID, just like you took care of
00:41the Treasury Bench and the opposition, you have always called and asked all of our members
00:51of the Parliament.
00:52I must take this opportunity to congratulate the entire Parliamentary staff and team who
00:57really supported us in serving at that time, the entire transition of the old building
01:02to the new building, the research team.
01:04So a lot has been done in five years.
01:07You have done a great job in the last five years, but in the last five years, I have
01:14never been in the well.
01:16But one sad thing is that when all of our friends from here, 150 people, were suspended,
01:23we were all very sad, sir.
01:26So we will try not to think about suspension in the next five years.
01:33We will try not to think about suspension in the next five years.
01:37We will always be ready for dialogue.
01:40And then Mr. Meghwal and Mr. Prahlad Joshi did a great job in the last five years.
01:46My only request to the new members is that we all work very hard to come here.
01:51When it is lunchtime in the afternoon, we have to work hard on both sides for the quorum.
01:56So it's a great opportunity.
01:58So I've been here a little more than most of you.
02:00So very humbly, I would like to request to each one of you that people really look up
02:06to us.
02:07And very few of us are blessed to be here.
02:09So let's make this opportunity into a great advantage for this nation and deliver superior
02:15results from here, where whichever side we sit on, the common goal is to serve the nation.
02:21So if we all spend more time here together to deliberate more, to argue more from both
02:26sides and to make sure that we serve India and make it a good nation, a brighter nation,
02:33because India is one of the largest democracies in the world.
02:37So any little thing that happens here affects globally and democracy is looked at as a dark
02:42light.
02:43So we did that mistake last time.
02:44I urge the Honorable Treasury Department that we are here to work and we are here to serve.
02:51And I hope we have a much better and a warm relationship.
02:54And running a house is not our responsibility, it is the Treasury Bench's responsibility.
02:58So I think the new ministers who have come, who have been our friends, we expect a lot
03:03from them.
03:04And thank you very much, sir.
03:06Thank you.
