Come with me on my first trip to Costco at Haydock
Transcript
00:00Come with me on my first trip to Costco.
00:02My mum's got a membership and so we went to the nearest one to Preston in Haydock
00:06which took about half an hour on the M6.
00:09When you get there you can't actually tell that it's the entrance and the industrial park.
00:13I was really surprised to see that they sold petrol and they did tyre installation
00:19but there was one big problem when we got there.
00:21We grabbed our massive trolley and we headed in, queued up to get in,
00:25they looked at my mum's card and whoops, we were too early.
00:29If you've got an individual membership, 11 o'clock,
00:32so we had to come here to a nearby garden centre to while away 45 minutes.
00:39These entrance rules just quite amused me on the way in.
00:44Now I didn't get any footage from inside the warehouse because believe it or not,
00:48contrary to what you see on social media and TikTok,
00:51you have to seek permission to film inside and I didn't.
00:55So I'll tell you what it's like.
00:56It is a big warehouse, a big grey massive warehouse.
01:00It smells like one of those foreign supermarkets when you walk in.
01:04There's absolutely tons of everything.
01:06There's food, there's lawnmowers, there's bouncy castles, there's clothes.
01:11You've got to remember as well though that VAT is added on to the price,
01:14the big price on the ticket that you see
01:17and consider whether you actually need all the bulk buy things.
01:20Do you need 50 tins of baked beans for instance?
01:24Some of the things were great value.
01:26Some of the other things I've seen in B&M for instance, cheaper.
01:29So you've just got to be careful about you don't get carried away by the experience of going.
