00:00Well folks, there it is, BMW Motorrad's 2024 CE02 electric vehicle.
00:06BMW Motorrad says it's not an electric motorcycle, it's not an electric scooter, they call it
00:10an e-parkour.
00:12This vehicle is designed for anyone who's looking for easy transportation around town.
00:18In its Highline specification here in the U.S., this vehicle retails for $9,062.
00:23Wow, that's a lot of coin for basically an electric scooter.
00:28Now let's start with the powertrain.
00:30This vehicle has an electric motor that puts out right around 40 pound-feet of torque.
00:35It's capable of a top speed just around 60 miles per hour with a range of upwards of
00:4050 miles.
00:41It puts power back to the 14-inch rear wheel via direct drive transmission with a belt
00:47final drive on the left-hand side.
00:50To accelerate, you twist the throttle and you go.
00:54The battery can be charged from 0% to 80% in only 3 hours using a traditional household
01:01120-volt power outlet that we all have at home.
01:05Now, this particular vehicle weighs in at 291 pounds.
01:11It rolls on 14-inch wheels front and rear with hydraulic disc brakes, one up front,
01:18one out back.
01:19The front brake is actuated via this lever and the rear brake is actuated via this lever.
01:25Let's look at the instrument panel here.
01:27There is the instrument panel.
01:28This keeps tabs on the vehicle.
01:30We have speed.
01:31We have range.
01:32We have time.
01:33To the starting sequence on this vehicle, you have to have this keyless fob within proximity
01:38of the vehicle.
01:40Then you press the power button and then hold the brake lever and hit this run button, and
01:44then the vehicle will be ready to go.
01:47Obviously, it says fold and side stand because the side stand's out, so we couldn't actually
01:51ride this because the kickstand's down.
01:52You have to put that up.
01:53Look, we have this nice holder for your phone, so you can put your phone and stay in touch
01:58with the world while you're riding.
02:00Look at the seat.
02:01Very nice.
02:02I love this triple-tone seat.
02:03It almost feels like a jet ski or a dirt bike seat.
02:08Grab handles back here with passenger footrests for someone if you want to bring someone for
02:13the ride.
02:14We have LED lighting front and rear with BMW's integrated turn signals into the brake lights.
02:21Now, to operate this vehicle in the Golden State, you have to have an M1 endorsement
02:27on your license.
02:29BMW says this vehicle is equivalent of a 200cc gasoline vehicle, so I'm not really sure if
02:35you can operate this vehicle legally on the highway in the Golden State.
02:38We'll have to do some research on that.
02:41Well, folks, that's a quick rundown of BMW Motorrad's 2024 CE02E parkour device.
02:49It's not an electric motorcycle.
02:51It's not an electric scooter, but it really is kind of an electric scooter.
02:55All right, folks, as usual, make sure to give this video a thumbs up if you liked it, thumbs
02:59it down if you didn't because we love to hear from the naysayers, and we'll see you in the
03:03next episode.
03:04Thanks for riding with us.
