00:0025 years have passed since the arrest of a wanted man in Obando, Bulacan, Manila for a murder case.

00:12Here is the latest news from Jomer Apresto.

00:18After 25 years of hiding, the police arrested this man in Obando, Bulacan,

00:25a wanted man in the city of Manila for a homicide case back in 1999.

00:30An individual was arrested by the Binondo Police Station

00:35where he has been hiding for more than two decades.

00:40Because of our intelligence-driven operation, we were able to find out his whereabouts here in Bulacan.

00:46The accused used various names so it was difficult for him to be traced by the authorities.

00:51We also found out that he was not arrested immediately

00:54because he used various names and various pecking IDs.

01:00The man was just defending himself that's why he was able to kill the victim.

01:05They came to our area to cause trouble.

01:08They threatened us.

01:10We couldn't do anything because we were the first ones.

01:14I was the first one.

01:16According to the police, the man was not able to get out of the vehicle

01:19because he was stabbed in the body of the victim which resulted in his death.

01:23I was arrested for that incident.

01:26I was jailed for that case.

01:28What happened was, the hearing was attended but there was no complaint.

01:33I was destined to work far away.

01:37That's why I was not able to attend other hearings.

01:40As far as I know, it's been a long time since that case.

01:45The accused is currently in custody at Maysic Police Station

01:48while awaiting the court's commitment order.
