Federal Judge Orders Hearing to Determine Fate of Key Evidence in Trump Classified Documents Case

A federal judge in Florida has ordered an additional hearing to consider tossing out key evidence in the classified documents case against Donald Trump. The evidence includes notes taken by Trump's former attorney, Evan Corcoran, regarding conversations about classified materials, which prosecutors have relied on. A Washington DC judge previously ruled the notes were not protected by attorney-client privilege as Trump allegedly used his lawyer to further a crime. The hearing will address "pertinent factual disputes" around the evidence and determine if it was improperly obtained. The judge will also examine potential "ambiguities" in the FBI search warrant about what classified records agents were authorized to seize.
