2001 Take Me by Chris Kisgen and Fielding Darden
Written November 2001

Chris has a way of finding melodies in just one or two chord changes. And they never sound that simple once they are translated into complete songs. We worked exceedingly well at everything we did together.

Though this song idea is pretty much all Chris (as are the rhythm guitars), I played lead guitar, recorded the song, did the percussion, and the video.

For some reason, this song "lived" from the end of one studio to the creation of the next. And because of that, we had a lot of time to collaborate along the way.

I met Chris when he was fourteen and wanted to play in the praise band at church with me. I told him I was going to kick him out if he couldn’t keep up.

He never hit a single wrong note.

He’s now forty-something with two kids. I’m pretty sure Chris is still playing in a praise and worship group in the Raleigh NC area to this day. A wonderful person and a very talented musician.

Recorded at both Fishing Creek and Blue Creek studios over several years.

Chris Kisgen: vocals, guitars, bass, lyrics, song

Fielding Darden: Lead guitar, percussion, song collaboration, video
