00:03You'll recognise them as our celebrity guests.
00:06So, as I say, really excited and pleased to be here,
00:10to be opening this fantastic Family Hub.
00:13I think, as most of you will know, and if you don't know,
00:16the Family Hubs are really specifically designed
00:19for services, preventative services,
00:21for children from naught to 19,
00:24and for young people up to 25
00:25with a special educational needs,
00:28and their families to access, easily access,
00:31a whole variety of services.
00:33So, this will really be an important addition
00:36to the community provision in this area.
00:39So, local families and services have worked
00:41really, really hard to develop the Family Hub offer
00:44and to get us to where we are today.
00:46And so, this building, plus our satellite centres
00:52in Plattbridge and in Inns,
00:54will really provide fantastic services
00:58to the communities in Plattbridge, in Avram,
01:01in Scoles, in Hindley, and I always forget.

01:18So, I mean, I suppose the other thing
01:20that's really important is that neighbourhood delivery
01:22is really at the heart of our whole new era
01:26and progress of unity agenda within the local authority
01:30and the wider partnership.
01:31So, this is a big step forward
01:33in terms of providing local services for families.
01:37As I say, we're building on the excellent work
01:39that our Start Well Family Centres
01:40have already been providing to these communities
01:42over many, many years,
01:44just widening that offer and widening that age range.

01:57at the Meadows, as well as this one,
01:59and anybody can access any Family Hub
02:02and any service at any time.
02:04So, obviously, I just also really want to thank Joe and Beth
02:13and Lisa, Diane, Graham, who I can't quite see at the moment.
02:19I'm Rachel, and everybody at all your teams,
02:22all the teams have really worked hard.
02:24Karen and everybody else who've worked really hard
02:26to get us where we are today,
02:28but not just where we are today,
02:29to actually deliver the service and develop the service.
02:33And that work will really continue
02:35over the next few months and years.

03:03I'm transformation lead for all of this work,
03:05but supported by everybody that Anne's just mentioned,
03:08in particular, Lisa Morris,
03:10because none of this would happen without our partners.
03:13So, as Anne said, so I want to introduce Ryan,
03:16who's been very, very patient with the waiting.
03:20He's a major celebrity from the Laddons,
03:23and Ryan plays the drums in the Laddons,
03:25so he hasn't got a family of his own yet,
03:27but obviously Ryan will know what's going on
03:31in all of these Family Hubs for when and if you do.
03:34You've got good reason to have one, haven't you?
03:39So Ryan's going to cut the ribbon
03:42and officially open our second Family Hub
03:44in the Wigan Borough.
