00:14He recently had his 23rd meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart at the Pentagon.
00:18Kremlin continues to intensify its bombardment of your cities and civilians.
00:24But I continue to be impressed by the skill of your forces
00:27and your troops continue to fend off Russia's attacks with grit, ingenuity and courage.
00:33So make no mistake, Ukraine is not alone and the United States will never waver in our support.
00:40He said during the meeting that the U.S. is set to announce a package
00:43including some $2.3 billion in new security aid for the defending nation.
00:48That will include air defense and anti-tank weapons, as well as other munitions.
00:53However, more weaponry wasn't the only discussion.
00:55Defense Secretary Austin also talked Ukraine NATO membership.
00:59As we look ahead to the NATO summit next week,
01:02we'll take steps to build a bridge to NATO membership for Ukraine.
01:07Just weeks ago, President Zelensky and President Biden signed a crucial
01:1110-year bilateral security agreement that reflects our strong and enduring support for Ukraine.
01:16This all comes after weeks of increasingly heated offensives within Ukraine.
