On June 1, US President Joe Biden agreed to provide Ukraine with advanced rocket systems as part of a $700 million weapons package, reported AFP. Reportedly, these systems can strike with precision at long-range Russian targets. This comes after Ukraine gave assurances they will not use the missiles to strike inside Russia, reported AFP. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the US is adding fuel to fire by supplying weapons. Meanwhile, Germany will supply Ukraine with the IRIS-T modern air defence and radar systems, Chancellor Olaf Scholz said as reported by Aljazeera.
