00:00How do you see the future of Milan Futuro?
00:06I was introduced to this project with the idea of training players
00:12and making sure that these players grow from a human and footballing point of view
00:17and that they are closer to the requirements of the first team.
00:22So this is the main input.
00:24Obviously, through positive results, this path will be more or less simple.
00:30We will have difficulties, but I think we are structured from the top.
00:36They are giving me all the means to make this path as challenging as possible.
00:44Admittedly, we are aware that there will be difficulties,
00:48but these must give us strength and motivation.
00:54There is a lot of motivation, a lot of emotion,
00:58for those who see me as the direct manager of this new project,
01:04which makes me very proud, because I will have a great responsibility
01:10to make the players grow and make sure that they can go to the first team
01:18and play in a more prepared and ready way, compared to the spring season,
01:26which is an intermediate season that prepares the young players,
01:31but in my opinion there is still a step of difference compared to the requirements of the first team.
01:37The goal is to make the players grow.
01:41When this idea was proposed to me, I accepted it with great pride.
01:49I think it is a fundamental step for a club like ours, so ambitious,
01:54because Milan Futuro will be something innovative.
01:58There will be room, I believe, in the future, not too far away,
02:02for other teams to enter this category.
02:06It is certainly a great responsibility, but it is something that I felt I had to do.
02:12At the beginning of the season I had already announced that it would be my last season as a collaborator,
02:20because I felt the desire to face my responsibilities in a more direct way.
02:26It comes at a time, in a situation, that sees me in an area that I know,
02:33because I know Milan well.
02:35I hope to be able to pass on to the boys those values that allowed me to stay at Milan for so long.
02:43The added value is that I have lived these guys who sporadically trained with us
02:51and they also had the chance to develop, to have a more confidential relationship with them,
02:58to know them in those facets that a coach may not be able to have in the first place.
03:05I hope that this can be the advantage that I can have with them,
03:11and the trust that they can have in me.
03:15I saw Milan from the outside, before I arrived, as a dream.
03:20When I arrived, I understood why a player, when he left Milan, knew he was leaving something magical.
03:30So, without naming names or who left me something,
03:35all the coaches I've had left me something, but I'm not just talking about Milan.
03:39But I believe that the environment in which you are, in short,
03:42shapes you in a certain way, with values, and I believe that Milan is special in this.
03:47The intention is to have a synergy,
03:50a group of players that doesn't stop at 20 or 25 players from the first team,
03:55but that is much wider.
03:58I believe that synergy should be there from the beginning,
04:03and I believe that in this the support of the club and above all the input of the club is clear,
04:09it is clear to the coach and to me.
04:12So, we should be able to integrate a new reality with the one that already exists.
04:18As a consequence, in the spring, the players should be able to compare themselves
04:24with a category that is already a bit higher than the spring.
04:29I am a dreamer, obviously the goal is to make sure that many players
04:33who will start with me at the end of the year are in the first team.
04:36I think this is my dream, but also the goal of the club,
04:40so both things have to be tested.
