00:00The first count is in and Labour's Bridget Philipson has won the first seat
00:05that's been called this general election for Houghton and Sunderland South,
00:09marking it the first of what exit polls suggest will be a Labour landslide.
00:14She's the Labour Shadow Education Secretary and she took around 18,847
00:21votes ahead of Reform UK who got 11,600 or so. Conservatives got just around
00:275,500. The turnout was 51.2%.
