00:00Tom Calville, Labour candidate for Fylde, I just wonder what your hopes and expectations
00:04are at this stage of the evening, about three hours into the count?
00:07Much as they were about three hours ago, which is going to be a great night for Labour, we
00:11are starting to see the results come in. The exit poll perhaps suggests that Fylde will
00:16remain Conservative, but the votes on the table are close enough that I'm still optimistic
00:21that something might come out of this. I'm really very grateful to all our volunteers,
00:25all our supporters for turning out, and it's clear that they have. And we'll see what
00:29the result is very shortly, I hope.
00:31And it was important that as many people turned out as possible. It does sound like it's a
00:35high turnout here in Fylde.
00:37That's certainly what I've seen as I've gone around polling stations. One of the things
00:40I've said in every meeting, every interaction with people is, whoever you support, vote.
00:46And the great thing is, I'm really proud of people in this constituency, it's my home
00:51constituency, they've turned out and they voted. And at the end of the day, whoever
00:55wins, that's a fantastic thing for democracy here in Fylde.
