Jamie Foxx Details Being “Gone For 20 Days” Amid Recent Health Scare E- News

00:00Jamie Foxx is sharing more details about his health scare.

00:04In a video posted to ex-formerly Twitter, the actor opens up to a group of people in downtown Phoenix,

00:11according to the Art of Dialogue, about moments from his undisclosed illness in 2023 that left him, quote,

00:19gone for 20 days. He tells the group,

00:22April 11th last year, bad headache. I asked my boy for Advil.

00:28Jamie then snaps his fingers and adds, I was gone for 20 days.

00:32I don't remember anything. The 56-year-old then shares that it was his sister,

00:37Deidre Dixon, and his daughter,

00:39Corinne Foxx, that took him to the doctor where he received a cortisone shot.

00:44However, he notes that a second doctor saw him and said,

00:48quote, there's something going on up there. Jamie tells the group while pointing to his own head.

00:54However, as he continues in his story,

00:57Jamie stops himself from sharing too much, adding,

01:00quote, I won't say it on camera, but it was trailing off with a shrug.

01:06As some remember, in April of 2023,

01:10the actor's 29-year-old daughter,

01:12Corinne, shared in a statement to Instagram that her father was on the mend after suffering a medical emergency.

01:20Then after a few updates on Jamie's health,

01:22the 56-year-old makes his first official appearance at the Critics Choice Association's celebration of cinema

01:29and television honoring Black, Latino, and AAPI achievements in December.

01:35And while accepting the prestigious Vanguard Award at the event,

01:39Jamie got emotional talking about the, quote, tough medical journey he'd been on just months prior.

01:46I want to thank everybody.

01:49I've been through something. I've been through some things.

01:52You know, it's crazy. I couldn't do that six months ago.

01:55I couldn't actually walk to. I cherish every single minute.

02:10Now it's different, you know, it's different, you know, it's beyond.

02:15I wouldn't wish what I what I went through on my worst enemy

02:22because it's tough when you when you when you when you almost when it's almost over when you see the tunnel.

02:30I saw the tunnel. I didn't see the light. It was hot in that tunnel, too.

02:36I don't know where I was going.
