00:00This is Peter Lamb, just elected to be the new member of Parliament for Crawley. I think
00:05I'm not technically that until I swear in, but that is at least what has just happened.
00:10I am incredibly tired right now and sleepy. I would love it for me to be a priority. I've
00:13actually got a meeting starting in about two hours, so I've got a whole day's worth of
00:16meeting ahead of me already. But we have got enormous challenges, as people well know,
00:20in town. I've got to meet the Chagossians to engage around with what's happening in
00:24the current housing situation and the wider issue around Chagossians trying to relocate
00:28to the UK. It's one of about a page of A4's worth of notes I had of immediate priorities
00:35on election, which we will have to crack on with right away, because there's a lot of
00:39stuff that just hasn't been dealt with. And I made promises to people. My feeling, ultimately,
00:44yes I'm happy, but it is daunting to have that level of faith within you. And I really,
00:48really want to make sure that people can look back and say, we made the right call.
