00:00I'd love to see it really come off the, fly off the hand.
00:13As soon as I got on board with this project, I knew that I wanted to capture this movie
00:18on film.
00:19Oklahoma just has these incredible colors.
00:22The landscape can get very green.
00:24And I love the way that film stock can render those colors and just how poetic it can make
00:29an image look.
00:30It's super, super important to make the environment part of the character of the movie.
00:36It's red dirt roads, green, green fields and blue sky with puffy clouds.
00:42It doesn't get better than that.
00:44The countryside here is absolutely incredible and we've hit it at peak saturation of the
00:51color of the fields and the trees and the sky.
00:56It's just, it's monumental.
00:57It's beautiful.
00:58Here comes the king.
01:02This movie is about nature.
01:04It's about the natural world.
01:06It's about things that are tangible, you know, we're doing a lot of respect for what we're
01:10capturing.
01:11I love Oklahoma.
01:12The fun part about shooting on film is that everybody gets excited about shooting on film.
01:31The camera department has such a pride in the fact that they're shooting on film.
01:35Feels like everybody raises their game.
01:37There's this adrenaline that comes with shooting on film too.
01:40You only get so many times to get it.
01:42So there's that extra excitement.
01:43My character, Kate, she has a love of film.
01:46She from a young age always shoots the weather and the landscapes with a film camera.
01:50We're actually getting the chance to go chasing with actual storm chasers in Oklahoma.
01:55I'm going to bring my Supra.
02:00Kodak were big friends of ours on the production.
02:03The idea of the movie was to capture the environment as honestly as we could.
02:09The tactile nature of film allows us to capture the ambience in a really aesthetically pleasing
02:16way.
02:17The benefit of having a partner like Kodak is you're not only bringing the best behind
02:21the camera, but you're bringing the best on the camera.
02:23I'd love to shoot on film again.
02:25I think it's hard as an actor to look bad on film.
02:28You know what I mean?
02:29Mainly that.
02:30I'm like, you look really good on film.
02:31You just look good.
02:32If we've done our jobs, it raises the bar for everybody.
