00:00A series finale in the Bronx goes to the visiting team in Boston. They blanked the Bombers yesterday
00:10and it was a scoreless game into the seventh when Rafael Devers hit a solo shot against
00:15Luis Gil. He hit another solo shot in the ninth. A home run in between from Rafaela
00:22and the Red Sox win 3-0 in the rubber match to take the weekend set inside Yankee Stadium.
00:28This team felt like we were leaving them for dead coming right out of spring training.
00:31Talking about the Red Sox, not much anticipation. You knew Devers was a star, but what would
00:35they be getting from some of their young players in that lineup? And it's been incredible and
00:39of course you're going to lean on Devers who yesterday bailed you out with two RBIs with
00:43a couple home runs in a 3-0 victory. You sweep the Marlins, you're going to take two of three
00:48from the Yankees and now you wind up at 49-40 on the season and a team that should be making
00:54the playoffs. Now if you are a Red Sox fan you're saying like I hope they don't get used
00:58to us talking about the management. Hey, you know what? We can let superstar players
01:01go away. We can limit our payroll and still make the playoffs. Where do I sign up? That's
01:05not the way you're supposed to be acting as a Red Sox organization that has such a big
01:09following. You should be spending like the Phillies, the Dodgers and the Yankees, but
01:14this core is young. I want to see if they add on to it because I like what they got
01:18starting pitching wise from pitchers that you figure probably wouldn't be as dominant.
01:21I love that Kenley Jantzen is finding his groove again with his 18th save of the season
01:26and timely hitting. This Red Sox team, as I said to open the show, they're going to
01:30make the playoffs. You just need that front office to say let's get another bat, let's
01:34get another starting pitcher, let's get some bullpen work and see what we can do. I like
01:38what I see out of the Red Sox.
