00:00All right, now in the National League, we'll go through the starters here.
00:08And as Matt and I just discussed, there are two names on this list who are not playing
00:11in the game.
00:12So I said a half a dozen.
00:14There's two right here.
00:15So William Contreras, who's had a fantastic year at catcher.
00:18Bryce Harper won't play in the all-star game.
00:20I don't know if that's been officially announced, by the way.
00:22That's my speculation.
00:23But I mean, I can't see any way he plays.
00:25Quetel Marte at second, Alec Bowman at third, who's also in the home run derby.
00:29Ray Turner, he is back healthy, so he'll play in Texas at short, Christian Yellich.
00:33Tatis, I saw a report yesterday that said that he would not be available for the game.
00:37So that means that he would be out, a new outfielder would be in.
00:40Jerks and Profar had a career first half.
00:43And then, of course, no question, the headliner here, Matt, is Shohei Ohtani.
00:46Major League Baseball needs Ohtani to play in this game more than any other player.
00:51Yeah, no question.
00:52I mean, if he could pitch again, they'd find a way to slide him in there for a digging
00:57too, for sure.
00:58Yeah, that's a that's a good team and a couple of guys, like you said, probably won't play.
01:01I think there's some among the reserve, at least, you know, Mookie.
01:05And that that opens up some spots in the NL for sure, more so maybe than the AL a little
01:11bit.
01:12But yeah, there'll probably be some people off both of both rosters.
01:15But I think that gives opportunities in the NL that maybe some players who are disappointed
01:20today can be looking forward to, even though no one wants to see anyone sit out because
01:25of injury.
01:28Yeah.
