Man arrested after woman's body found in Melbourne bin

A man has been arrested after a woman's body was found at a waste management facility in Melbourne's north last week.

00:07Now, they're trying to establish the exact circumstances after a woman's body was found

00:12in a tip last week in Epping.

00:14The woman is yet to be identified, but it's believed that she was a 67-year-old woman

00:19from Coolaroo and that the pair were known to each other.

00:22Now, the body was discovered by staff at a waste management facility in Epping while

00:27they were searching through green waste.

00:30It's believed that the body was placed into a bin on Hillgate Street in Coolaroo, which

00:35was then transported to Epping the day before.

00:38Now, the investigations are continuing and police are asking anyone with information

00:42to come forward.
