00:00I'm Marjorie Hayward and I founded the Talking Table scheme three years ago this month in
00:06Chorley because we'd all suffered a long pandemic and lockdowns and I was supporting
00:13200 plus people a week during the lockdown, people who lived on their own and were very
00:18lonely and they were very frightened at the end of lockdown and I thought I'm supposed
00:24to be the loneliness champion of Chorley, how can I help people? And I do everything
00:30through faith and I was really mulling over the problem of getting people re-engaging
00:37post Covid and inspiration in the middle of one night, Talking Tables. So from the five
00:44cafes in Chorley in 2021, we now have 23 cafes just in Chorley. I have 80 cafes around the
00:53nation and two in Cyprus. So Wigan have now come on board, hallelujah. We've had people
01:04saying on Facebook, when are you coming to Wigan? We need Talking Tables in Wigan. So
01:10my lovely colleague here, Sue, Sue Coutange, agreed to be a table leader and I was delighted
01:18to welcome her into the team of table leaders because she's a very compassionate and loving
01:23person and she's a good listener, which is what you need to be to be a table leader.
01:29So Sue is an integral part of this new scheme here for Wigan people. So people of Wigan,
01:37take this opportunity. You've now got a Talking Table here in Wigan. You can come, you don't
01:44have to stay in your own four walls. You don't have to watch daytime television all day.
01:50You can come and meet new friends, come for a chat, come and be sociable. Sue will be
01:56watching for you. Sue will be there to welcome you, welcome you into the table. Every table
02:03has a table topper on it. Look for this as you come into a cafe and behind there will
02:11be Sue and she's such a welcoming person. So come along, don't be frightened. Take your
02:18courage in both your hands. Come along for that first time. We're nice people, we're
