00:04Beryl, who hit the nation last week.
00:07From Karuku, our correspondent, collaborator Crystal Hoyte, talks to survivors.
00:12Hurricane Beryl made landfall here in Karuku, Grenada on Monday, with maximum sustained
00:18winds of 150 miles per hour.
00:21The Category 4 hurricane flattened Karuku, claiming lives and leaving nothing but devastation

01:18Albertine Emmons says it was a near-death experience for her and her family.
01:25Me and my two children, we proceeded to the bathroom to shelter, if anything should happen.
01:31And that wind was so strong, I felt the entire building shake, as if it was an earthquake,
01:39you know?
01:40And it was very, very, very scary.
01:44And I just thank God.
01:47And I stood there for about an hour-and-a-half, or maybe more, because I couldn't even keep
01:53track of the time.
01:55Just uttering words of prayer, Lord, if it's anything, just protect us, save our lives.
