00:00I'm Jeff Ellis, I'm the Festival Director of Transmet.
00:03A few changes to the site, we've got a new headline sponsor, Rockstar,
00:08that's the first change, some new sponsors involved as well with different activations.
00:13We've got the hangout area which is a new area for over 18s, it's a bar with
00:19a canopy over it so you can sit inside, have a drink, Bongo's Bingo will be there,
00:24other performers and everything will be there as well, so that should be a lot of fun.
00:27We've got a reset area where people can go and chill out and literally recharge themselves and
00:34their phone batteries as well, the three are our mobile partner.
00:41The lineups are the big thing really, Calvin Harris and Jerry Cinnamon are the two Scottish
00:48headliners and Liam Gallagher doing his Definitely Maybe set which will be wonderful as well,
00:54it was great at the Hydro recently and then other Scottish acts like Garbage, The Snuts,
00:59Dylan John Thomas and lots of really young emerging artists as well on the River stage and
01:07lower ends of the King's Touch stage and Tom Grennan, Jason Stathis, Natasha Benningfield,
01:15Alison Goldfrapp, Lauren Spencer-Smith, Sugar Babes, who else, I mentioned Tom Grennan,
01:25Rick Astley as well, Rick Astley's never played transmit before so that should be good fun.
01:31We keep evolving, we've managed to claw a bit of space back by moving, there's a thing called the
01:38Boneyard where you put all the trucks and everything, we've moved that to a different
01:42location which has enabled that bit of the site to be opened up, you can't see any stages from
01:47there so we've created a reset area in there which is where I mentioned about recharging your
01:52batteries both metaphorically and literally, but the confines of the site generally are the same
02:00so it's about tweaking things, making general improvements. Personally I think Last Dinner
02:08Party, looking forward to them, I saw them a year ago, just over a year ago at the Great Escape in
02:14Brighton, loved their first single and just saw that they've really, well they have gone on a
02:21meteoric rise since then, Wonder Horse I think would be great, Snuts, always great live, Dylan
02:27John Thomas will be too, Alison Goldfrapp, she puts on a fantastic show, she'll be amazing,
02:35so yeah there's too many to pick one particular act and I can't think of a better way to close
02:41the festival than Calvin Harris really, his debut at Transmit and I think that's a really
02:47fitting way to close the weekend.
