00:00I'm Jeff Ellis, I'm the Festival Director of Transmet.
00:03A few changes to the site, we've got a new headline sponsor, RockSword,
00:08that's the first change, some new sponsors involved as well with different activations.
00:13We've got the hangout area which is a new area for over 18s, it's a bar with a canopy over it
00:20so you can sit inside, have a drink, Bongo's Bingo will be there, other performers and everything
00:25will be there as well so that should be a lot of fun. We've got a reset area where people
00:29can go and chill out and literally recharge themselves and their phone batteries as well,
00:35where the three are our mobile partner. The line-ups are the big thing really,
00:43Calvin Harris and Jerry Cinnamon are the two Scottish headliners and Liam Gallagher doing
00:50his Definitely Maybe set which should be wonderful as well, it was great at the Hydro recently.
00:56And then other Scottish acts like Garbage, The Snuts, Dylan John Thomas and lots of really
01:03young emerging artists as well on the River stage and at the lower ends of the King's Touch stage.
01:11Tom Grennan, Jason Stathis, Natasha Benningfield, Alison Goldfrapp,
01:16Lauren Spencer-Smith, Sugar Babes, who else, I mentioned Tom Grennan, Rick Astley as well,
01:26so Rick Astley's never played a transmit before so that should be good fun. We keep evolving,
01:34we've managed to claw a bit of space back by moving, there's a thing called the Boneyard
01:39where you put all the trucks and everything, we've moved that to a different location
01:43which has enabled that bit of the site to be opened up. You can't see any stages from there
01:48so we've created a reset area in there which is where they mentioned about recharging your
01:52batteries, both metaphorically and literally, but the confines of the site generally are the
01:59same so it's about just tweaking things, making general improvements. Personally,
02:07Last Dinner Party, looking forward to them, I saw them a year ago, just over a year ago,
02:13it's The Great Escape in Brighton, loved their first single, they have gone on a meteoric rise
02:22since then, Wonder Horse I think would be great, Snuts, always great live, Dylan John Thomas will
02:28be too, Alison Goldfrapp, she puts on a fantastic show, she'll be amazing.
02:35So yeah, there's too many to pick one particular act and I can't think of a better way to close a
02:41festival than Calvin Harris really, his debut at Transmit and I think that's a really fitting way
02:48to close the weekend.
