Transcript
00:00Well my name's Paul Holmes, I'm one of the directors of Saffron Kitchen. This is Sushri
00:03Wells who's also a director of Saffron Kitchen. We set up this company just two years ago now
00:10to do Meals on Wheels and it's now grown into something where we're going to be offering ready
00:15meals through shops and retail outlets, so quite a change for us. A lot of work has gone into this
00:21and we're very pleased to have today really where we can show everybody what we're doing.
00:27I'm Sushri Wells and I'm also part of the Asian Association. I'm a trustee there
00:34and a director at Saffron Kitchen and we set this up a couple of years ago and prior to that
00:41we set it up as a service to provide Meals on Wheels during Covid. We grew from there and
00:52we realised while doing that service that people still needed
01:01Meals on Wheels, so we set it up as a CIC a couple of years ago and now we are launching
01:09our Meals on Wheels on a more commercial basis. That's where we are today so hopefully watch this
01:17space through various post offices and even some Morrisons stores will be stocking these items.
01:23We're launching five separate meals today, we've got a demand for more but we're
01:27starting small and building up so we can do it properly. So at the moment we we're doing
01:32chicken roganjosh, chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani, a vegetable korma, some naan and cumin rice.
