80s flashback: before John Foreman was Australia's pop orchestra maestro he was just a boy in a band.

00:05Newton's favourite piano man.
00:07But before he became maestro to the
00:09stars of Aussie pop, he was just a
00:11skinny boy in a rock band in his
00:14hometown of Newcastle.
00:15Here's footage never seen before of a
00:17teenage John Foreman performing in
00:20the band Train of Thought.
00:25It's an Australia Day concert way
00:26back in 1988.
00:28And yes, that's John Foreman rocking
00:30red braces on keyboards and backing
00:32vocals alongside lead guitarist
00:34Scott Bevan, who would go on to become
00:36an ABC TV newsreader and foreign
00:39correspondent.
00:42Thank you for the 80s music, boys.
