Two dead after blaze at home in Melbourne’s east
Two people have died in a fire in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

00:00Well, arson squad detectives are here investigating the cause of the fire around four o'clock
00:07last night here in Donvale.
00:10Emergency services were called out around four o'clock in the morning and sadly two
00:14people were in the house at the time and died at the scene.
00:17Now police are yet to identify the two but say they were two male victims.
00:22Neighbors have spoken to us with a lot of shock and grief and say that they were both
00:27great people.
00:29One of those people that do you a good turn before you do you a bad turn and he'd help
00:33you if there was something wrong with your car or van or he'd research it and get whatever
00:39it needed.
00:40Yeah, he was a good man, he'd help anyone out.
00:45Well, as you can see behind me the house is still smouldering even after all of last night's
00:49rain here in Melbourne.
00:52Detectives are working now throughout the day to try and establish exactly what the
00:55circumstances were that led to the blaze and they're asking for anyone with information
00:59to please come forward to Crimestoppers.
