2025 BMW X3 Walkaround (exterior, interior, specifications, technology and features).
The fourth generation of the BMW X3 features a new design language for the exterior that helps give it a different appearance. The generously proportioned surfaces, together with the emphasis on just a few, crisply defined lines, result in a clearly structured exterior with a beautiful and dynamic appearance.
The distinctive BMW X3 model proportions highlight the car's superb versatility. The exterior of the new BMW X3 measures 187.2 inches in length, 75.6 inches in width, and 65.4 inches in height. Compared to its predecessor, the new model is 1.3 inches longer, 1.1 inches wider, and 1.0 inch lower in height. The car's wheelbase remains at 112.8 inches, the same as the old model.
The new BMW X3 comes standard with light-alloy wheels measuring 18 inches in diameter, or 19 inches for the new BMW X3 30e xDrive. There are also 20-inch and 21-inch options available as factory-fitted choices. The increase in diameter compared to the outgoing model enhances the car's sporty appearance when viewed from the side.
The new BMW X3 offers a premium ambiance interior with ample space for passengers and luggage. Rear passengers enjoy more legroom, and the boot space has increased. Folding the rear seats expands cargo space. Standard features include automatic tailgate operation and Comfort Access. An optional trailer coupling can handle up to 5512 pounds. Enhanced insulation and design elements improve comfort.
In the regular X3 models, they are equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, generating 255 horsepower and a maximum torque of 295 pound-feet. These models are capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in about 6 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 130 mph.
The 2025 X3 M50 xDrive features an electrified 3.0-liter turbocharged in-line 6-cylinder engine producing 393 horsepower and a maximum torque of 580 Nm. With this engine, the crossover model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, matching the performance of the old X3 M40i. The vehicle has a maximum speed of 155 mph with optional performance tires or 130 mph with standard tires. Both versions come with full-time four-wheel drive and an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.
The price of the 2025 BMW X3 starts at $50,675 and goes up to $65,275 depending on the trim and options.
