00:00Hey, what's up?

00:10It's Blake Rose.

00:11I am currently on the Suddenly Okay Tour.

00:13We're in Chicago, and I'm going to show you around our tour van.

00:16All right, so we are in the front of the van, the cockpit, and Reid, my tour manager in

00:21front of the house, takes a good brunt of the driving.

00:25But we tap out.

00:26You know, when we get tired, we each take turns, which is nice.

00:28It's also kind of nice to drive, you know, sometimes, it's pretty relaxing.

00:32I'm usually, if I'm not driving in the front seat, that is my little hub, I can put the

00:36seat back like this.

00:39If I want to sleep, I can lay down.

00:43This is literally like, I sleep like this.

00:48Sometimes I put my hand up here and just like hold it there, because like, I don't know,

00:52it's just comfortable.

00:53Oh, fuck.

00:54And then, I have, we have like power sockets and stuff like that to charge our phone.

01:02We have an inverter if we want to charge our laptop and stuff.

01:04You know, drink holders, all the good bits and pieces, and a little, you know, it's a

01:10bit messy right now, but I usually put like some hats and some little bits and pieces

01:13up there.

01:14All right, so speaking of the bits and pieces, we've got some hats.

01:18We've got Suddenly Okay Tour merch hat, Suddenly Okay on the front, we've got Blake Rose on

01:23the back.

01:24So yeah, this is a good one, I like this one.

01:27And this is kind of like my main go-to like hat that kind of goes with most things.

01:33Yep, The Man Who Captured Sunshine, it's a cool brand, got it from like Urban Outfitters

01:37or something.

01:38So yeah, I just kind of keep them there, because I didn't really have any room in my suitcase.

01:42Luckily, this time we're leaving from LA and arriving back in LA, so we didn't have to

01:46fly with the gear, so I could take some little extra things like these hats.

01:51We've got some Febreze here for when you're smelling a little bit too much, when the material's

01:57you know, a bit stinky, just like give a little spray, air it out a bit.

02:02We have, you know, we have water, there's like a manual under there, and usually if

02:08I get gifts from fans, like this one's still here, the rest of the gifts are at the hotel,

02:12but this one's still here.

02:13I actually haven't opened this yet, so why don't we check this one out.

02:18Oh, and we've got a letter here, well I won't read this out, but you know, this is so sweet.

02:30So the person driving generally has like the main pick of what's playing on the system,

02:36because pretty much the main goal is to keep you awake, so whatever does the job for you.

02:41When Levi's on here, he's playing straight metal, when I'm in there, it's like John Mayer,

02:45so yeah, this guy, we've got a touch screen, good thing is it's Bluetooth, and I can fuck

02:52around with it, so if we want to change up the host of the music, we can do that.

02:56When we're feeling like collaborative, you know, we all jump in on a playlist and play

03:00it, and yeah, it's good vibes.

03:02After the show sometimes, we just like blast some music, have a good time, wind down, by

03:07winding up, I guess, I don't know what it is, but you know, yeah, that is the music

03:12console.

03:13We also have maps on here, so you know, you don't have to be holding your phone, although

03:17we have that, so this is like a stupid magnetic thing, it doesn't even work, like if I try

03:21to put my phone on it, it doesn't even stick, it's fucking pointless, but you know, every

03:29now and then it works, if my phone survives this interview.

03:33Alright, last thing, we also have a little snack hull down here, I keep some water, we've

03:39got some, I've put these in upside down, so we're good, we've got some peanuts, really

03:48don't know why I got the shelled peanuts, I think honestly I just like a challenge sometimes,

03:53when there's nothing in here, usually I just fill that up with peanuts, to be honest, fuck

03:56it, let's just do it, let's just do it to really get the experience, Reid's gonna be

04:03pissed.

04:05Alright, so we just chuck them in there, the leftovers, put them down here, I literally

04:10just like, this is me, during our drives, this is why everyone hates me, fuck, and then,

04:24biodegradable, you know, straight out the window, except it's going at 100 miles an

04:29hour and usually just comes back and hits me in the face.

04:32Alright, we also have, we're pretty healthy on this tour, we've got healthy snacks, what

04:38do we have here?

04:39Dry roasted edamame, sea salt, sea salt flavour, these are pretty good, very healthy, good

04:45source of protein.

04:46Alright, so this row is usually taken by Levi, for some reason we kinda just assumed our

04:52own benches and spots in the van and we're kinda just like all cool with it, so we sorta

04:56just stay, but yeah, Levi usually sleeps here, Caleb's back there, and yeah, obviously

05:02as you can see, Pillow's over there, he's usually asleep like this, he's honestly just

05:06like this the whole time, he's like on his phone, whatever, and then we have some other

05:11snacks down here, this is like the overflow snack area, or I guess the main snack area

05:16for everyone.

05:18So we got some apples, we're really running low at the moment to be honest, some deep

05:23jerky, some cashews, I don't know what, oh we got more nuts, yeah vibes, and then we

05:33have a camcorder down here, that we kinda just keep there, and this is sorta just like

05:38a free game camcorder that we can all use whenever we want, so yeah, we've just been

05:45capturing heaps of stuff on here, I haven't even watched any of it back yet because it's

05:49been a mission to try and get the cables to turn the analog signal to digital so we

05:54can watch it, I've like ordered two different sets of cables and delivered them to different

06:00hotels and I've like, oh shit, yep there we go, it's on, yeah I've ordered like three

06:07different sets of cables and ordered them to different hotels and like forgot which

06:10hotel they came to and just missed it, and so we're on like a massive just like chasing

06:15our tail adventure trying to get the cables so we can watch these videos, but yeah so

06:19this is our camcorder, and we have some drinks down there, I think there's some beers and

06:26maybe some water somewhere down there, but yeah this is the general area and we have

06:29a, I guess a pair of drumsticks here for some reason because Levi's a drummer so just carry

06:34sticks with him everywhere, yeah this is the back first row, okay so this is the back seat,

06:40this is usually where Caleb hangs out, as you can see similar situation, he's got his

06:44pillow there, for this trip he was sitting up so it's fine but usually we can like take

06:49all of this stuff off the bench and you know put it, sorry Caleb, just dump all his stuff

06:59back there, usually we can put like a suitcase, do we have a suitcase back there, alright,

07:07so this goes in the middle to sort of make it more flat and more comfy, kind of lay it

07:15down like this, and then yeah you got yourself another bed, easy, so everyone's kind of got

07:24a row that they can sleep on which is nice and it's you know pretty decent, for a van

07:30we can all sort of take turns sleeping which is pretty much all you need when you're on

07:34the road, so yeah sort of this is this is the back row, alright so here we have the

07:39hull, this is where we keep all the gear, we got drum kits, keyboards, guitars, all the all the

07:46good stuff, pretty much piles up to the roof back here, so this is all clean right now because the

07:50stuff's in the venue but this is just like a massive no-go zone for obvious reasons, so yeah

07:57but that's all that's all good, under this seat we have skateboards because you never know when

08:08you'll need them but also it's just like a fun thing to do, like I said we luckily got to leave

08:13from LA and return to LA so we could bring a few extra bits and pieces, one of those being

08:17skateboards, yeah every time we stop at a gas station or something I'm just trying to teach

08:21myself how to ollie and stuff, I can skate well but I suck at tricks so I'm trying to learn how

08:26to do some stuff and then yeah whenever we're in a city that has smooth pathways and stuff we

08:31just skate around from A to B and it's just yeah a good way to good way to get around the cities.
