00:00In the Riverlands, the Lord Paramount, House Tully,
00:03is less powerful than some of their subjects.
00:06What this leads to is a really tricky power imbalance.
00:10There are 40,000 swords in the Riverlands,
00:12the largest undeclared host in the realm.
00:14House Tully is a fish with no head.
00:17♪♪
00:20Oscar is the Lord-in-waiting to take over
00:22for old Lord Grover Tully, his grandfather.
00:26But he's a little unsure of himself.
00:28He's going through that awkward phase in his teenage years.
00:30And then he's delivered to Harrenhal
00:32to meet Daemon, who's just giving them the business.
00:34Are you here to speak with your grandsire's voice
00:36for House Tully in the Riverlands?
00:39That is not our way.
00:40Then you're of no use to me.
00:42Oscar Tully is a little annoying gnat
00:46who just is in the way.
00:47He won't do what he's told.
00:48There's part of Daemon that's sort of playing with him
00:50and part who really needs him.
00:52There is no way that they can challenge King's Landing
00:55without the Riverlands.
00:57Another key to the Riverlands are the Freys.
01:00Our Lord Grover Tully has not declared for an era.
01:03Means death to bear steel against your liege.
01:06These are the kinder and gentler Freys.
01:09They, of course, control the Twins,
01:10which is the famous crossing from the north
01:12into the Riverlands.
01:14And Jace, having established his pact with Cregan Stark
01:19and promising a path down to the south,
01:21goes there to treat for the crossing with the Freys.
01:25Larys Strong has been relieved of his castle.
01:29Does the Queen intend to raise up a new lord?
01:33You want Harrenhal?
01:34I guess the Freys have always been tough negotiators
01:37all through time.
01:38Hopefully this negotiation goes a little better
01:39than the last one we saw.
