00:00Wanted to ask you about the passing of legendary defensive coordinator Monty Kiffin
00:04I know you didn't play for him, but how how do you think how innovative was that Tampa to defense?
00:10And how did that change the game?
00:14So
00:17When I was introduced to the Tampa to is when I got drafted to to Tampa and
00:24And
00:26was actually prior to
00:28when Rahi Morris came to do my you know, my workout at OU and they brought the book staff and
00:36highlight of
00:38Undertackles is what the original name for the three technique in the Tampa to was
00:43Was the under tackle because it was built on
00:48Over defense under defense and you needed a guy in the middle that could disrupt and destroy everything
00:55and that's what made the whole Tampa to defense go and
01:00the guy who really made that takeoff was Warren Seth and
01:04money was the coordinator for this group along with
01:10Tony Dungey is the head coach. So when I got introduced to the Tampa to
01:15Defense it was introduced to me as the guy that plays my position has to be a guy
01:22But everything else around that then it's the wheel linebacker behind him
01:26Which is Derek Brooks and then you start adding in all these different pieces and you get this if it's played, right?
01:32You get this dominant defense every defense out there has a bit of the Tampa to
01:38Defense and it's crazy that it's called the Tampa to it's really just covered too
01:42But because they played it so great
01:45It became a Tampa to so money
01:49It's impact on the game of football not just in Tampa
01:52But the game of football all together is unmatched and you know
01:57It's a big loss for not just us in Tampa people who played there to fans
02:02But just football in general the football family anybody who loves the game
