00:00A very special pupil has slipped into this running club.
00:11Canyon sprinter Ferdinand Omeñala specialises in the 100 metres, and for one morning he
00:17trained with local residents in Miramas, in the south of France.
00:22It's a pleasure to share this with a high-level athlete who could win an Olympic medal.
00:26So to have a class like this is super.
00:36In honour of his specialty, there was even a 100 metre sprint with the ninth fastest
00:40man of all time.
00:42Despite having trained in Miramas for years, it's his first time running with the townspeople.
00:52I always feel very happy and proud to be part of it. So I felt nice.
00:57In true sporting spirit, the town has decked itself out in Kenya's colours.
01:01Miramas is home to the delegation's training camp before the Olympics begin, with over
01:0680 athletes present, and residents say it's a privilege to host them.
01:11I love it. It shows that we're an important town.
01:16We're happy to welcome them and it gives them good training conditions.
01:20It decentralises things a bit outside of Paris.
01:24In order to acclimate and have the best conditions, Kenya's rugby team was the first to arrive.
01:30The facilities here are top-notch. They're world-class. So we are very happy to be here
01:34and we think being here it will give us an opportunity to perform well in the Olympics.
01:39Team Kenya can also count on a dedicated fan club, with the local children's choir learning
01:45a special hymn just for them.
