00:00The origins of it? The origins of the outfit?
00:04I mean, it just kind of came along where T.O. set me up with his suit guy and just kind of took off from there.
00:11He kind of fitted me in New York, and then he had my suit ready when I came to Boston.
00:16But that was the first suit he showed me, and he was like, oh, I have this awesome suit.
00:21And when he first showed me, I was like, yeah, I can't do that. That's not me. I can't wear that.
00:28And then as we started going through different patterns and colors and stuff like that, I was like, can you show me that first suit again?
00:35And I was like, all right.
00:37That's the first suit that he showed?
00:39He showed me on his phone, because he's like, this is a suit that I've made and I haven't had anybody want to rock it.
00:45So I was like, oh, OK, let me see it. And he showed me. I was like, yeah, no way.
00:49But then as I was going through colors and stuff, and he was showing me other ideas, I couldn't get the first suit out of my mind.
00:57Tell me the name of, again, the guy.
00:59Mitch. I have his information right here.
01:02OK. We can get that later.
01:04So then you have the glasses. I mean, it was a whole thing, right?
01:09Yeah.
01:10Before you get to the glasses, the message on, obviously, did you want to make sure that you had the messages that you had on the lining?
01:16Because that's another part of this. With everybody, it's like, I'm going to have the suit and then I'm going to have the lining.
01:22Yeah. I mean, he asked me if I want to do anything custom on the inside.
01:26And I, of course, instantly went to what I always wear on my wrist.
01:31You know, it's not a disrespectful thing. Like, I hope nobody takes it in that light.
01:36It's just like a really heartfelt thing to me.
01:39It's like, that's just how I attack, like, mental stuff.
01:43It's like, hey, man, like, you know, I have that phrase.
01:47And it's like, a lot of people have different things in it.
01:49And it's just kind of what worked for me. So I hope nobody thinks of it negatively.
01:52But I know when I did it, I was, like, super pumped to be able to show it off.
01:57And I had the first also on the other side.
02:00And he was super pumped for me. Like, he wanted to do it and he was super excited to do it for me.
02:04And then the glasses.
02:05Yeah, those are just Ray-Bans.
02:07Okay, just Ray-Bans.
02:08Yeah, just Ray-Bans that I've had in my wardrobe.
02:12And I was like, yeah, these, they blend the best.
02:14Like, I didn't want to go like a dark sunglasses with them.
02:17And they were super thin, so I thought they would work best.
02:19Is there anything, and again, this is probably the only time we'll ever talk about dressing.
02:24But was there anything that you're like, I want to do this.
02:27And like, ah, maybe I won't do it.
02:30With the outfit?
02:31Yeah.
02:32I mean, the whole outfit I was super nervous about.
02:36Well, okay, let's ask about, so when you went out, like, you walk out.
02:40It's one thing to think it's good in the store.
02:42Yeah.
02:43You walk out.
02:44I mean, I, he fitted me in New York, or he showed me in New York.
02:49And then he put it on me back home in Boston.
02:52And it fit perfectly.
02:54I mean, it felt.
02:55But when you walk out and people react to it.
02:57Oh, yeah, that was the most nervous thing.
02:59Honestly, I think I was, when I saw like our media team, like Maddie and Carlos and them.
03:05And they loved it.
03:06I was like, okay, like, I'm fine now.
03:08Like, just having like close people like that tell me that they liked the outfit meant more to me than anything.
03:13So it was awesome.
03:14Did people, did you get some good comments?
03:16Yeah, everybody, when I was walking down, everybody kept saying that they loved the outfit.
03:20They're like, oh, it's such a good fit.
03:22Like, stuff like that.
03:23And that's, that's a good feeling.
03:26I mean, there you go.
03:28I mean, it's one for one for All-Star, right?
03:30Yeah.
03:31Yeah.
03:32But coming back to the message, like you said about the lining.
03:35I know that MLB, like I said, don't wear.
03:38It's like weird that you have to give the caveat.
03:40Because I think by now people know, right?
03:42Yeah.
03:43I don't think it was really don't wear it.
03:45I think it was just make sure that, like, it's covered and stuff like that.
03:49Which is respect to them because it's not a team-issued shirt.
03:52So I respect what they said.
03:54Like, they respected it enough to not fine me.
03:57They just gave me a warning.
03:58And kind of like gave me details of what I should do.
04:01And I was like, oh, okay.
04:02Like, obviously.
04:03So they didn't tell me not to wear it.
04:05So, like, I'm very thankful for that.
04:06But, yeah, just going to keep it under my undershirt this time.
04:11And just cover it up next time.
04:13Or just take it off next time.
04:15So the last thing is, so you have plenty of motivation.
04:18You're a motivated guy.
04:20Now you're motivated to, where is it?
04:22Atlanta next year.
04:24I don't know what suit.
04:25Got to figure the suit next time, right?
04:27You're going to Atlanta next time?
04:28Yeah, yeah.
04:29I haven't thought that far ahead.
04:30I know.
04:31But now you've experienced this.
04:34You've gone through it.
04:35You've nailed it.
04:36Congratulations.
04:37Pedro said it's the best gear of anybody.
04:40Yeah, I mean, it's going to be hard to top what I did this time.
04:44So I'll leave it up to my suit guy to dial me in.
04:47I wish I had a suit guy.
