00:00On a quiet evening, a police department got a call from a caretaker of a closed public
00:05garden.
00:06The caretaker reported that he had seen some suspicious figure sneaking in.
00:11But he admitted that it could've been a mistake.
00:14Still, a police officer came to investigate and look around the park.
00:18Can you figure out if the caretaker was right?
00:25Yes, it seems like there really was someone in the park.
00:33Look, there are signs saying not to walk on the lawn.
00:37But the grass is trampled, so someone was there.
00:44In the evening, a detective received a call from a frantic restaurant owner.
00:48The owner claimed that a big sum of money had been stolen that night.
00:53The detective rushed to the restaurant and questioned the staff – the waiter, the chef,
00:57and the cleaning man.
00:59The waiter said, I was busy taking orders when the theft occurred.
01:03The chef claimed, I was in the kitchen preparing meals, I didn't see anything.
01:08The cleaner stated, I was outside having a break and making a call.
01:13The detective immediately knew who was lying.
01:16Who was it, and how did he figure it out?
01:28The detective realized that the cleaner was lying.
01:31He claimed that he had been outside when the theft had occurred.
01:34But the detective noticed that it had been raining heavily that night, and there was
01:38no sheltered area outside to make a phone call.
01:42So his alibi is falling apart.
01:44The guy must be the culprit.
01:47It's the holiday season and people are getting presents.
01:52Jane has got some presents from her wish list too.
01:55Some of them are wrapped in red paper, except two.
01:58All of them are wrapped in gold paper, except for two.
02:02And all of them are wrapped in green paper, except for two.
02:05How many presents has Jane got?
02:17Jane got three presents.
02:19One wrapped in red, one wrapped in gold, and one wrapped in green paper.
02:26It's December and elves are working the hardest this month, making toys for the holidays.
02:32It takes 3 elves 3 hours to make 3 toys.
02:36How long will it take 6 elves to make 6 toys?
02:48If it takes 3 elves 3 hours to make 3 toys, it means that it will take 1 elf 3 hours to
02:55make 1 toy.
02:56So if there are 6 elves and the goal is 6 toys, then they will be done in 3 hours too.
03:05To crack the next riddles, you'll need to think outside the box.
03:09You think you can do that?
03:10Let's see.
03:12Emily often experiences strange things.
03:15She frequently sees people and things that are not actually there, yet she perceives
03:20them as real.
03:22She also sometimes believes herself to be in various locations far away from where she
03:26actually is.
03:28Emily doesn't have a mental disorder, nor has she ever taken any mind-altering substances.
03:34So how can her experiences be explained?
03:46Emily has all these experiences when she's asleep, and so do you.
03:54Ok I think you got the drill.
03:56Outside the box.
03:57Here's a new one.
03:59Andrew has never been arrested, yet he has been in a penitentiary for 8 years.
04:05How is it possible?
04:16Well Andrew works there as a guard.
04:20Marjorie Winifred was one of the wealthiest women in the country.
04:25She had mansions, expensive furniture, million-dollar jewels, and so on.
04:30Yet despite her wealth, none of her mansions had air conditioning, and she never got a
04:34car or a TV, not even a cell phone.
04:38How can you explain this?
04:49Marjorie Winifred lived centuries ago, when none of those things had been invented yet.
04:57Great job!
04:58Now look at the picture.
04:59There are 4 dogs, and all of them are excited to get some milk.
05:04Can you figure out which dog will be the first one to drink?
05:17Well if you look at the pipes attentively, you'll notice that some of them are blocked
05:21at some point.
05:22The pipe leading to the 3rd dog is blocked at the very end, and here are the blockages
05:27on the other pipes.
05:29The only dog that will get to drink is the 2nd one.
05:36Esme was walking in the forest, and of course she got lost.
05:40Luckily she found a witch's house.
05:42She entered it, petted the witch's cat, and asked the woman to show her the way back
05:47home.
05:48But the witch wouldn't let Esme go.
05:51First the girl needed to solve a riddle.
05:53I have 3 daughters, each of them has a brother.
05:57Can you figure out how many children I have?
06:00Can you help Esme figure it out?
06:12The witch has 3 daughters and 1 son.
06:154 children in total.
06:18Ok, now let's relax a little bit and train your eyes.
06:23I will show you some pictures, and you'll have to find mistakes in them.
06:27Sound simple?
06:28Here's the first one.
06:29What's wrong here?
06:40The lady is eating soup with a fork.
06:42I hope you noticed it.
06:44Here's the next one.
06:46Keep your eyes wide open.
06:48What's wrong here?
06:59Have you noticed those bananas growing on the bushes?
07:02Weird.
07:03Ok, great, here's a new picture for you.
07:07What do you think?
07:17The car over there doesn't have any doors.
07:21Ok, just a few more, let's make them a bit more difficult.
07:27What's wrong with this picture?
07:38This is definitely London, we can deduct it from the landmarks.
07:42But look, people are driving on the right side.
07:45In London, everyone drives on the left side of the road.
07:51How about this picture?
07:52You see anything suspicious?
08:03There's a calendar on the desk, and for some reason, December 27th is highlighted as a
08:09winter holiday.
08:10We all know that's not true.
08:15And now this one, it's truly difficult.
08:17But let's see if you can figure it out.
08:20So what's off here?
08:31Look at the trees and leaves, the wind seems to be blowing from the left.
08:35And now look at the woman's hair, it's blowing in the opposite direction.
08:38Well, how's that possible?
08:42Ok, I hope you're ready for some more challenging riddles.
08:47Mia got a present for her family – a set of cups of different colors.
08:52Unfortunately, she forgot to label them, and now she can't remember which cup was for
08:57whom.
08:58She only remembers that her own cup is green.
09:00Here's what she remembers about the other ones.
09:04Her mom's cup isn't silver.
09:06Her dad's cup is either gold or red.
09:09The blue cup is either Mia's sister's or her brother's.
09:14If her mom's cup is red, then her sister's cup is gold.
09:18If her mom's cup is gold, then her sister's cup is blue.
09:23Apart from herself, there are 4 members in Mia's family – her mother, father, sister,
09:28and brother.
09:29The cups that she got are gold, silver, blue, red, and green.
09:34Can you figure out which cup belongs to whom?
09:41Ok, so Mia's own cup is green.
09:49Let's assume that the mother's cup is red.
09:52Then the sister gets the gold one.
09:54But look, the father's cup is either red or gold, and both are taken now.
09:59So this assumption is wrong.
10:01The mother's cup must be gold then.
10:04This means that the sister gets the blue one, and father gets the red one.
10:08And the silver one is Mia's brother's.
10:13Four friends – Ruby, Max, Olivia, and Ethan – gathered on a December evening to decorate
10:19some cookies for their friends and family.
10:21Each of the friends brought something with them – gingerbread cookies, sugar cookies,
10:26red icing, and sprinkles.
10:29Ruby brought either the red icing or gingerbread cookies.
10:33Max didn't bring the sprinkles.
10:35Both girls brought some cookies.
10:38Can you figure out who brought what?
10:50We know that Ruby brought either the red icing or gingerbread cookies.
10:55We also know that both girls brought some cookies.
10:58So Ruby must've brought gingerbread cookies.
11:01And Olivia brought sugar cookies.
11:04If Max didn't bring the sprinkles, then he brought the icing.
11:07So Ethan brought the sprinkles.
11:10And I'm getting hungry, how about you?
11:16That's it for today!
